Stayed in Ukhozi Lodge which is exactly as advertised on Kariega's website. Massive bed (more than 6 foot wide), large suite. Private plunge pool is a novelty but probably a bit too cold to get much use. Great for dipping your feet. Warm, friendly, personal welcome. Personal welcome also extended to game drives as you are allocated the same ranger... more

Stayed here while on honeymoon in South Africa as part of our Safari trip. There is the main lodge called Kariega where it is a half board basis, Ukhozi is about a mile away where the cabins are a little upgraded and you are in an all-inclusive basis. We stayed 2 nights, which included 4 game drives, one in the... more

We stayed at the Ukhozi Lodge for 3 nights in August - it was amazing! The staff were wonderful, especially our ranger, Jo. There are 2 game drives per day - this time of year, one at 0800-1230, and one at 1500-1800. During the second one, the ranger stops for 'sundowners' in the bush which was great - watching the... more

We had a fantastic time staying at Kariega in the Ukhozi Lodge. Everybody was very friendly our ranger Jacque was brilliant, we saw four of the big five plus lots of other animals, we learnt alot from him, plus he was very amusing. The food was great, the restaurant staff where very friendly, loved the singing, infact we cannot fault... more

We stayed her for 3 nights during our honeymoon and it was fab. Our rooms for a four star were a little drab but were perfectly fine and comfortable and anyway we didn't spend that much time there as we were enjoying all the other more important delights of a safari. The lodge was fab with big roaring open fires... more

We had 3 nights at this lodge and loved every minute, even though it rained for 1 day. The room and bed are huge. The bathroom is separated by a screen (although toilet is in its own room) and is also huge, with a large shower. The view from our lodge was stunning. We could sit on the deck area... more

If you have never been on safari then this might well please you. It's modestly well done for what it is, an artificial 'farmed' reserve. You do get to pay £300-400 /couple/day. The two (duplicated) previous reviews are accurate, if a tad overgenerous. The elephants are radio tagged as are the (two male and two female) lions, so you are... more

We spent 2 nights in Ukjozi Lodge in January just passed. This is separate to Kariega as it is situated a fair distance away from the main lodge. It consists of individual suites/chalets and its own main lodge and pool. The suites were amazing. Huge open plan room with the biggest bed we have ever slept in, as well as... more

We stayed at Ukhozi Lodge (in Kariega Game Reserve) at the beginning of June this year for 3 nights at the end of our honeymoon. It was a fantastic finale to the holiday. There are 10 semi-detached suites at Ukhozi, each sleeping 2 people in a huge bed, with your own jacuzzi and a shared plunge pool (I believe they... more
