We were in Cooperstown the week of Aug 1-5, 2005 for our 12-year old's baseball tournament. Positives: Rooms were very clean. Maid service is daily and very good. Motel is centrally located for the town of Cooperstown. Restaurant is good - in August, it was nice to sit outside and eat. It is an easy 2-block walk to the Hall... more
The Lake Front Motel is the perfect place to stay when visting Cooperstown. Bill, the former owner, and his family make you feel at home. The place is clean and within walking distance to everything. The restaurant is nice for breakfast and they also have one of the "hottest" girls in Cooperstown working there.(and maybe the only one). more
VERY clean...lovely location...however, be aware of the attack shower curtain! We were on the ground floor, room 40 - very small for a family of four. Pillows terribly uncomfortable and no extra towels available. No free coffee, newspaper or breakfast with visit; slight discount at restaurant (very slow service) only. more
This place is horrible. I have stayed all over the USA, this place is Crap! The place is run by a family whos only purpose is to get your money, not provide a good value/service for your buck. They are not friendly, they are odd, cheap, just not nice, fussy about where you park, think they own the public streets... more

The motel's restaurant/bait shop (!) provided a quiet, scenic place to eat an over-priced breakfast. But, pack your earplugs. The walls are paper-thin, allowing even the most... more
Stayed two nights. Ate in their resturant. Charges on our credit card came through for three different dining charges. Dined only once for dinner not three times. Resturant Management never disclosed additional charges to the credit card. Took initiative with manager and credit card company. Credits issued. Checked out, received an additional credit card charge for additional cleaning of room.... more
Have ben coming to the Lake Front for over 10 years. Each room is different, some very small, the nicest the rooms A & B upstairs, they are more expensive but much larger. The motel sits right on the lake and provides boat tours in the summer. It is small family run motel and has a little restaurant/bar on the... more
My wife stayed at the Lake Front Motel Oct 5th & 6th, 2003. It is rated ** by AAA and it lives up to that. We had a deluxe room on the second floor. The room was clean and roomy and had beautiful of the lake. There is a restaurant on-site and serves a good breakfast & dinner in a... more
Lake Front Motel seemed to find our presence annoying. They have teeny soaps, tiny showers, and would cut no slack about something as simple as parking in the lot a couple of hours after checkout. more
