This place was awful!!! My husband booked one night at this hotel and we didnt even stay! We left after less than 2 hours. It was run down, outdated, poor service, old movies, etc. The bathroom was SCARY! I was horrified. The mattress was as comfortable as a cracker. There was nothing but noise. The only thing that seemed half enticing... more

Ok, I don't usually like to write negative reviews because someone 's livelihood depends on what I write. If you are an adult and not spooked by old things...then stay here. If you are OK with smarmy people giving you a thirty minute spiel about where your room is, how to open the room door, and every little nit-picking thing...then... more

Overall, we were delighted with this inn--the staff took great care of us, from the friendly greeting and help with luggage provided by the manager and the free upgrade to a bigger room at check-in to the service at the restaurant/bar in the basement (it was like being in someone's rumpus room in the 1970s, which we thought was really... more

The Tunnicliff Inn sounds quaint and charming on its web site, and boasts all kinds of amenities such as DVD players and WiFi. But when we arrived, we found a very run-down place, with lumpy mattresses, horribly out of date bathrooms, and foam cushions on the toilet seats. I refused to take a shower because I was uncertain about the... more

My husand and I and our 7 year-old stayed at the Tunnicliff Inn for one night last week and we enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly, and because the larger executive king room was available, they put us up in that room at no additional charge. True, it's not the Ritz, as another reviewer said, but it... more

The Tunnicliff is in a perfect location. Everything in Cooperstown is within 3 blocks of this hotel. I found the hotel to be homey and had some nice touches. Some people in my party had some complaints, but most thought it was quaint and suitable. It's true the decor isn't what I would pick, and there were some quirks...but it's... more

In truth we booked in, paid, but did not stay...the room for which we paid something like $150/night was threadbare, with conspicuously cheap furniture, slanty floors (a dropoff of probably 8-10 inches just inside the door), and a general air of cheapness. To get to the room we had to step over piles of used linens and cleaning equipment in... more

I was very happy with the location of the inn, one of the only places to stay that is on the "main drag". I was not so happy when i walked into the room we were staying in. It was run down and musty and very dusty. There was a bed and a large air conditioning unit (not in the... more

I stayed in Cooperstown 4 nights. I was very excited to stay at The Tunnicliff, and was disappointed when they could only accomodate me for the first 2 nights. When I arrived and saw how run down the hotel was - I was glad my stay would be short. The room was small and the decor old and worn. Not... more

My wife and I stayed at the Tunnicliff Inn for 2 nights and enjoyed the staff's hospitality and true professionalism. They all welcomed us with a smile and a warm welcome. The Inn is spectacular with a historical touch of class for such an old estlablishment in Cooperstown. Also everything to see in town was walking distance, the baseball hall... more
