My stay at the skytop was quite pleasant. The location is nice and quiet; away from the noisy roads. It was scary reading some reviews about the place but once I was there it was totally the opposite. There was also a clean outdoor pool, although the water was a bit frigid. The front desk were kind, and almost made... more

There was a national horse show in the area for the weekend of June 7th. Therefore, hotel rooms were scarce but, we were able to find a room at the Skytop Motel. The front clerk was very polite on phone and in person when we checked in at 11:30. The front desk closes at midnight so if we arrived later... more

I was very disappointed with the motel management and their flexibility. If you for any reason you have to cancel a reservation and you miss even one day in advance of policynotice, they charge a full day, absolutely no flexibility. They were sold out with a wait list in hand and did not care at all for my repeat business... more

I am an avid traveler and this was the worst hotel experience of my life!! I booked two nights at this hotel. As a solo female traveler, I liked the convenience of it to local highways. Well, this place was a complete DUMP! The rooms smelled horrible and everything was really old. I could've handled all that but the workers,... more

My stay at the "skytop" was great. Rooms were clean, service was good and there is a magnificent view/scenery. The location is good, located on a hill overlooking mountains. Front desk were kind. There's also the skytop steakhouse with their own brewery (beer) and excellent food. I read some aweful reviews about the motel which made me double think about... more

The man at the desk was unbelievably rude to everyone, the rooms were filthy and uncomfortable, the bed was as hard as a rock, my window didn't lock and the doors and walls were paper thin, it was so noisy. And forget about the breakfast, pass on it! The poor people in line in front of me when I checked... more

You just have to smile as you exit the interstate and high on the hill the huge red neon "Skytop Motel" sign shows its retro flair. The room was better than many reviews let on, we booked through Expedia at a great rate. It was a very convenient location for attending the Midnight Ramble, and the restaurant next door had... more

The Skytop Motel was a great value for the price. We recently stayed there over Christmas. The rooms were not fancy but were clean and the bathrooms were brand new with granite countertops! The location was great and convenient to the Thruway. The staff and manager were very accomodating. I know other reviews were not that favorable but anybody can... more

Had to find a hotel in a hurry for a family emergency and Sky Top had the lowest rates. Read the reviews which were all over the map, but still liked the rates. My stay was excellent, the rooms were clean but a little dated. I didn't expect the Ritz, but was pleasantly surprised. I arrived around midnight after a... more

If you have a choice- DON'T STAY IN THIS MOTEL - This is one of the worst hotels I have seen - it is nothing like they describe. I walked in my room - and about 2 minutes later - walked out. The room was old, smelled, the phone, T.V. and light did not work. The door looked flimsey -... more
