This is a review of the restaurant, not the hotel rooms. The restaurant is in an impressive 1890s mansion on the shore of Lake George, with impeccable decor and white linen tablecloths. The food quality seems to have deteriorated since my last visit a few months ago, with the menu now offering a combination of home runs and near misses.... more

My boyfriend and I were in need of a relaxing vacation and we could not have found a more beautiful place! After a few days with both families for the holidays called for ALOT or R & R. And that is exacly what we got. We arrived at night, and were met by Marie, who was the sweetest and most... more

My husband, and I just returned from a weekend getaway at the Inn at Erlowest in Lake George, N.Y. It was quite a treat for us, since we had not seen the improvements that the new owners have made since 1999. The Inn has been exquisitely redone, and every corner is a visual wonder. The staff is very professional, yet... more

I shared a wonderful birthday dinner for my friend, Jeannie, with her family and mine. The food was impeccable! The service left nothing to be desired. We were met by our Maitre D, Marie, She introduced us to the bartender, Terry, who shared stories with us about the Inn. Our waitor Grey, and our wine expert, Larry met our every... more

We stayed at the Inn at Erlow West this past July. We stayed for 3 night’s total. We booked the luxury suite the Schuyler room, named after a famous General Phillip Schuyler. The room was magnificent. It had a beautiful king sized bed off the sitting room. The bedroom (open to the room) had great light, windows, drapes, Bose radio... more

We live locally and have been anxious to dine at The Erlowest. We arrived a bit early and with no other party in the dining room were told we would still have to wait. Not a problem, we spent some time in the bar area speaking to the bartender and enjoying a drink. That was the best part of the... more

Inn at Erlowest was our 2 night stay in July. The interior of the Inn is a delightfully restored old mansion. Views from the upper balconey, which is open to all, are wonderful. Lower patio has seating and an outdoor fireplace. Restaurant and bar on premises- both are open to those who are also not guests of the Inn. The... more

Stayed 2 nights at the Inn. The bed was very comfortable and fresh. The room was nicely decorated. The day we arrived the tub had a few dirty spots in it. They quickly came up and cleaned the tub.(I know things like that happen.) The rest of the room was very clean. The breakfast was not good. The table cloth... more

Went here with my husband for our honeymoon. When we pulled up we were disappointed to see construction going on all over the grounds. We would have like to have been told this was going on before booking a weeks stay. The inside was gorgeous and our room was huge but other than that, nothing impressive. I do have to say,I... more

Now owned by Sun Castle Resort, an amusement park / resort conglomerate, this Inn was originally a spectacular stone mansion overlooking Lake George. The glorious terrace HAD a 180 degree view of the lake, one of the finest you can find. But no longer, the resort built a line of cheap condos in front of it blocking about half the... more
