This is a small house, furnished with a quirky opulence that allows one to find new eye candy in every corner and crevice. Although it's a bit out of the way, it commands a lovely western view of the lake. The veranda makes for a beautiful breakfast spot. The food is wholesome, tasty, and plentiful. A great place for a romantic getaway with a rustic/elegant/unique feel. The owner was warm, generous and a fantastic cook. Each room is beautifully done with large comfy beds, books, hammocks, stereo, fireplace, and great view of the lake. I have no complaints and even though it snowed all weekend long it still felt like a vacation. would love to... more

We had a room scheduled for almost 2 weeks in advance of our stay. Three days before the owner calls and says she's double booked, leaving us with nowhere else to stay. She offers us a cottage, which is further out of town and is anything but elegant. the whole time she never offered us any price cut for this... more
