Budget travelersNice, clean hotel. Not far from the subway. The staff was very helpful with directions. We would definitely stay there again. more
OK lets take a reality check here. If you want to spend $200 - 300 plus per night on a hotel then fine - stay in Manhattan. If you want a budget hotel close to the city that is clean and serves as a bed for the night (with the back up of a large chain where your advance payment... more
We planned a trip to NYC to see family and initially thought we would stay with them. About two weeks before the trip we changed our minds and decided to look for a hotel that was budget-friendly and was conveniant to where our family lived in Astoria and to sites in Manhatten. We figured we wouldn't be there much and... more
First of all, there is a reason that this hotel is much cheaper than Manhattan hotels. This hotel is not IN Manhattan, it is in Long Island City. The subway is a four block walk from the hotel then 20 -30 to the city. There is nothing in Long Island City worth seeing and nothing near this hotel worth seeing... more
We stayed here for 5 nights on an employee discount scheme. You would think that working for the same Company would mean that you are treated well but this was certainly not the case. Upon arrival we were subjected to the rudeness and uncooperative nature of the staff. We were also blatantly lied to on several occasions. We witnessed daily... more
I stayed here for one night while traveling for work. My first-floor room had been renovated recently, and the employees who worked at the hotel were friendly. That's the best I can say. I was in a first floor (really basement level) room with a parking lot right outside, and the curtains to my room did not close fully. There... more
The parking lot does not have security or security cameras. Our car window was smashed during the night and several things were stolen. The hotel says they are not responsible for your car in their lot. The room was clean and updated. more
We were pretty happy with our 3-night stay except for a few annoyances that kept us from considering our stay "excellent." First, each day when we returned to our room, our key card had been reset. Each time that happened it was reprogrammed at the front desk with no further problems (until the next afternoon). Second, the mini fridge in... more
We stayed for a week with two children who are 8 and 10.The location of this hotel more than made up for small room, which was still good value as only 5 subway stops to Times Square.Walk to subway about 10 minutes Surrounding neighbourhood was safe, even at night and local restaurants deliver to hotel, but are still close enough to walk to.Check... more
I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to see NYC on a budget. The Holiday Inn in Manhattan was roughly $450 a night, so for less than half that price I was able to stay in Queens. Not much going on in this neighborhood, but the purpose of my vacation was to see Manhattan anyway. The subway station was... more
