We needed last minute reservation & found one at this hotel via central reservations. Staff was friendly & helpful, room clean, bed very comfortable - goldilocks: not too hard, not too soft. Brkfst ok - fruit, skim milk (yea!), coffee, tea, not too appetizing donuts, standard cereals. Completely NONSMOKING more

Some chain hotels do a better job of maintaining the chain standards while others don't seem to care. This is an old Hampton Inn and I wouldn't be surprised if they sold it to someone like Comfort Inn soon. The carpets are worn, the fixtures are old, the air conditioning vibrates throughout the night, and the rate of $149 per... more

Clean hotel, friendly staff. Room rates were on average durring the week $169. a night, I was with a group and got a great deal of $85.00 a night. I heard the rate was going for $229. for Friday and Saturday night. I would not pay more than $169 for this hotel per night, you can go 10 miles to... more

I stay at this hotel 3-4 times a year due to business travel. However, the room on this stay was somewhat disappointing. Easy chair and accompanying ottoman were very dirty and needed shampooing. Carpet in room could also use some shampoo. Comforter on bed was in need of a run through a washing machine due to stains, but sheets seemed... more

I stayed at this Hampton Inn in mid February 2008. There was a major snow and ice storm the day before, so there was no cable TV service or Internet service until 10pm. That is totally ok. I understand that. However, what I don't understand is the attitude of the staff and lack of a tiny bit of a smile.... more

We had stayed at other Hampton Inn's in the past and had been very satisfied, so when thinking of spending a weekend in Newburgh it was a nobrainer : Hampton's Inn. My wife and kids were happy with the choice. From the beginning, the front-desk staff was polite but not as accomodating as in other Hampton's. The room heater was... more

I've usually enjoyed my stays at Hampton Hotels but this was the worst one ever and a major disappointment. We requested a non-smoking room when we made our reservation and when we got there we were given a smelly tiny room. The reservation desk said that they did not have any other rooms left. Housekeeping brought up an old air... more

Used Trip Advisor comments to select hotel. Huge mistake. This may be dirtiest hotel room in recent memory. Noisy location near highway, no amenities. Not up to Hampton standards. Nearest restaurant is a 24-hour joint across the parking lot, and a poor one at that. Front staff was pleasant, beds were amything but. more

I found this to be a noisy hotel, nestled right up against a ramp of the New York Thuway with a lot of truck traffic literally looming over the top of the parking lot. I chose it because I had read about the shuttle van to the Newburgh-Stewart Airport, but when I tried to schedule a trip in the morning... more
