Had a good stay at the Plattsburgh Econo Lodge during Columbus Day weekend 2006. We were staying there both because Burlington, VT hotels were sold out that day and because we wanted to visit Ausable Chasm in NY, about 12 miles away. Seems like this property had a previous life before becoming an EconoLodge - it's an older building with only some minor renovations. It's nice and quiet (the buildings with guest rooms are set far back from the road), with ample parking and interior corridors. But the in room furnishings are spartan and worn.
