First of all I had big expectations after reading all the reviews. Normally I don´t expect too much from a hotel, only to have a good night sleep and be fresh in the morning. Unfortunately this was nearly impossible in this hotel, as the railroad tracks are just behing the hotel. I don´t know why nobody mentioned this in the... more

We booked trip including stay here, 1 week prior to travelling. from UK, mainly due to reviews on here. It's a nice enough place, with helpful staff, who probably get the same questions every day, but don't reflect this when asked. We were on the ground floor and unfortunatly everyone who cuts thru the parking lot will see into your... more

The property was a little hard to find, but we arrived before dark and found ample on premisis parking. The location is in a lower middle-class, ethnic neighborhood, but it seems safe to walk, even after dark. Reception was behind a glass, but friendly and helpful. The room was about what we expected from tripadvisor reviews. We walked to a... more

Our youth group stayed at the HOJO in Queens Village while helping a church just across the street. We were there for five nights. It was one of the most affordable hotels that we could find in the area. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the place was spotless. A+++++ more

We came to New York to see a Mets game and a Broadway show. Figured we'd stay in Queens to save a few bucks and be closer to Shea Stadium. We booked the Howard Johnson's Queens Village directly through the hotel website and got a great rate. This hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was attentive and... more

To be totally fair to the hotel, I had a really good experience while in the hotel itself. The staff was very helpful, the room was quite clean, and the beds were reasonably comfortable. The area around the hotel had a few low-priced restaurants that offered some decent food, and there was a 24-hr. convenience store just about a block... more

I had high hopes for this hotel after reading the Trip Advisor reviews and was very dissappointed with the room. It was slightly shabby, small with no place to put your suitcase - no suitcase stand was available. The room was stifflingly hot, like a sauna when we first entered and it was hours before the air conditioner unit (which... more

Our flight was unexpectedly cancelled due to the storms on the East Coast and had to find accommodations in the JFK area. All the major hotels were fully booked, but we found a room at this HoJo. We reserved a double/double room and were given the electronic card key by the nice and friendly night manager. When we opened the... more

I had chosen this hotel because of the price which included free parking and a continental breakfast. My only issue was that the maid did not bring fresh towels and clean the room the 2nd day. The beds were made, but that was it. My family of 4 stayed here 2 nights for a trip to see the Mets and... more

My husband and I stayed here for our yearly trip to watch the Yankees. This property is fairly new and very clean. There were plenity of parking spaces. We purchased the all day metro card for $7.50. We then took the bus to the subway station. This is cheaper than taking the Long Island Railroad. If you take the Long... more
