Not a whole lot to look at on the outside, especially at night, when the neighborhood seems to get very, very quiet. The front desk clerk was nice enough, although he couldn't honor our request for a rollaway bed (so our teenagers could have separate beds). They've clearly done a lot of work inside this hotel, and it looks good.... more

I selected Parkview for it's proximity to campus and better price point than the others in the same proximity. I was in town with my daughter for a college tour. While my initial reaction to the dated exterior appearance was concern especially as there is a larger more contemporary hotel next door, I found an almost immediate pleasant suprise at... more

Graduation weekend at Syracuse weekend means a lot of things, but for the hotels in town it meant bloated pricing, poor service, mandatory two day stays w/ prepayment. The Parkview was no exception. First, the "Park" is really a large traffic island with grass. Only the street facing rooms (less than 20% of total) have this view, the rest have... more

I've stayed here several times before, and always appreciated it as a good deal in a good location. But this time it was not as pleasant as usual. I was given a handicapped-accessible room on the first floor (room 113), and the room itself was perfectly nice. However, it was really cold. The room was in a corner of the... more

This hotel is a great value! The room was spacious and very clean. It's very close to the highway so its easy to get to and from. Its also close to Syracuse University but not too close to have the area affected by the campus/students! The only downside - our room was near a back stairway and the door slamming... more

We were in town for the NY State Fair. I had read reviews for the hotel when booking and thought can it be that good, for the price? The answer is YES! It was even nicer than i expected. The pictures on the web site are lovely, but they do not do it justice. I will never even consider anywhere... more

Great place to stay, for the price its a true value. Free pickup from the airport was great, our bathroom was great despite what I've read from others on here. Took us about 10 minutes to walk to either the campus area or Armory Square. Great Stay for both myself and the 5 friends who were staying this weekend. more

EVERYTHING about this hotel is wonderful, from the person taking the reservations, to the front desk staff, to the cleanliness of the room, to the quality of the rooms. We recently have been traveling in NYS and Canada. This was the most reasonable hotel we stayed at, and far and away the nicest. If you are ever in Syracuse, stay... more

The Parkview Hotel was rated well on Trip Advisor, so we decided to stay. The exterior and interior are very nicely restored in a manner consistent with the period. There are some modern twists which are tastefully done (like Plasma TVs, comfortable plush beds), and the room (405) was spacious and included the needed kitchenette for our 12 month old... more

I stayed at the Parkview when bringing my son up to school in Syracuse. I had to adjust the actual dates of stay several times and the hotel was extremely accomodating. One night I extended, I got a better rate than on an internet reservation and on the actual hotel site. The Parkview was very quiet and the rooms were... more
