I absolutely LOVED my stay at SurfSide. Not only did I get a fabulous loft room with a South Facing Ocean View, but the room had a balcony, extra beds and a skylight! The breakfast was a little better than the average. No waffle maker, but they had Eggos, French Toast Sticks, and Sausage to pop in the toaster as... more

This is a great place to stay in the Outer Banks. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. It is a perfect location at milepost 15.5. You can walk to restaurants (Owens, Dunes). They provide a nice breakfast and wine in the evenings. The breakfast has breads, yogurt, pastries and cereals. Most of the time there is fruit.... more

The Surfside Hotel is a very nice welcoming hotel on an excellent beach. We stayed in the smaller building beside the main building. There is no elevator in this building. Our kitchen effiency room with jacuzzi bath was nice and very clean. The view from our room was wonderful, the window facing west has a view of Roanoke Sound, the... more

We had booked online for a week of relaxation on the Outter Banks. On arriving at the hotel we found our room to be very tired and did not resemble the video we saw of the rooms. We had requested a suite room on the the ocean. The room was on the ocean but the room was a basic single... more

We stayed for 2 nights in room 301. We were here in July and had a good stay and we had another good stay this time. Our room was very nice and clean, asked for extra pillows and got them. Our toilet lever broke, called down to the front desk and it was fixed right away. The breakfast they serve... more

There are certainly a lot of hotels to choose from in Nags Head and I am sure that there are other ones just as nice but we enjoyed our stay here. You can walk directly onto the beach from the hotel property and see the ocean from you room balcony. The room was clean and very pleasant with decent quality... more

We stayed for one week near the end of August. Room was clean but older. We had an oceanfront view with a balcony which was fantastic. Their wi-fi needed some help, but who needs to be on the internet on vacation anyway! The breakfast every morning was fantastic. Lots of healthy choices and the coffee was HOT! The pools are... more

This place has it all! Fantastic staff, spacious ( and very clean ) rooms, conveniently located, plenty of parking, gorgeous views from both rooms we reserved for our extended weekend. The breakfast offered in the mornings had more variety than I anticipated. The reason I'll be going back to Surf Side is the staff. These are some of the nicest,... more

Drove down without reservations and checked out several hotels directly. By doing so we were able to actually ask to see the rooms before booking. Surfside was the fourth or fifth hotel we looked at. The room they showed us was not the actually room we got because they were still cleaning the room we would get closer to the... more
