From the moment I arrived at the hotel til the moment I left I was completely spellbound. I expected old world charm and it didn't disappoint at all. It wouldn't have been in keeping with the character of the place if everything inside was modern and new. The staff were really lovely and helpful, the food was great, in a... more

What a disappointment this hotel was. The website looks great but in reality this is a very tired and dated hotel with no old fashioned charm whatsoever. It is pretentious, has terrible food and rooms. Rooms - we moved 4 times before finding a room that did not smell of an old people's home. Really outdated decor (not in a... more

Tylney is the quintessential English Country manor house. The hotel is set in a beautiful location with 66 acres of landscaped grounds to lose yourself in. The rooms are god and the service is flawless. In both our stays at Tylney we have had nothing to complain about and plenty to praise. Its refreshing to find an English hotel where... more

My husband and I have stayed at Tylney Hall a number of times now and on every occasion have had a wonderful time. Not sure what hotel Mr Baines stayed in but it certainly isn't the hotel which in the last year we have stayed in 4 or 5 times. The team there always remember us and even though it... more

We stayed for a Valentines weekend, after I had stayed there for a night for business (I checked out after one hour because of poor customer service and a dreadfull room). The rooms are old and outdated, more towards the shabby side rather than fitting in with a grand old country hotel. Our valentines weekend was complimentary following a complaint... more

We stayed at Tylney for a weekend away without children. We had a lovely time. We stayed in a garden room which was peaceful with lovely views of the gardens. Bird song woke us in the morning. The rooms are abit tired and their decor slightly old fashioned but that fits the country house experience. The showers could do with... more

Stayed at Tylney Hall for 2 nights in mid-winter and had a very relaxing time. The grounds are extensive and a long lazy walk is entertainment enough (I believe you can borrow mountain bikes though). The facilities are luxurious - the pool was a little small but the bathrobes and towels and goodies make the experience quite nice. The room... more

If you ever need a break away for a night or two then I strongly recommend this hotel. Yes it's a bit expensive but absolutely worth it. You get what you pay for! From the moment that we arrived to the moment we left we were treated like royalty. The hotel is in it's own grounds with nice walks with... more

Stayed at this hotel for two nights during January 07. The entrance was impressive and the room was huge. Typical old fashioned english decor in the bedroom with a very large modern bathroom. This was by far the largest hotel room that I have stayed in. We ate in the hotel restaurant food was good champagne was perfect. We also... more

I often stay at Tynley Hall, and eat there even more often. To me its that perfect country hotel. Yes the bedrooms could do with a little updating, but it i've seen a lot worse in other 4* hotels, but it certainly makes up for it in other areas. Staff are always excellent and very helpful, can't praise them enough. Eaten... more
