We stayed at The Old Vicarage for 4 nights but I would recommend anyone to stay for at least 7 nights in order to enjoy a different and delicious breakfast every single day. The food is top quality and everything from local suppliers. Our room was a comfortable delight; stylish and elegantly furnished, with many thoughtful extras from home made... more

We stayed in the lovely Old Vicarage for eight days this summer, and never felt like we even left home! The owners, Ruth and Maurice, were more like family than innkeepers - always interested in our comfort and pleasure. Our room was large and well-appointed, with a huge bathroom en suite. We had a deck off our room and enjoyed... more

I stayed at Old Vicarage Guest House for a little more than a week and found everything about it to be outstanding. My hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful (carried my heavy suitcase upstairs as well as dining suggestions, calling a cab when needed). The single room was charming, clean, comfortable and big enough to do tai chi every morning!... more

This was our third visit to The Old Vicarage and once again we weren't disappointed. The house has great charm and makes a lovely place to come back to after a day's walking, cycling, fishing or exploring the local area. Ruth and Maurice are natural hosts and are able to offer visitors advice on everything of interest in the area.... more

When looking for somewhere to stay in Berwick we consulted Trip Advisor and decided to go for the number one ranked B&B in Berwick. Well the place certainly lived up to expectations! I cant praise the Old Vicarage enough. From the gorgeous little touches like homemade cakes on the tea tray in the room to the superb choice of breakfasts.... more

My friend and I stopped at the Old Vicarage Guest House for only one night but we left wishing it could have been for longer (but were heading to Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival). Ruth and her husband were welcoming and very friendly. We had initially booked a double room as a twin wasn't available for that night, however when... more

We always make a point of staying at the Old Vicarage when we visit the Berwick-upon-Tweed area. It has comfortable, spacious rooms in a very quiet location, with easy access to the local attractions. We have stayed several times over the years and have invariably received a warm, friendly welcome. The breakfast menu offers a range of delicious dishes. We... more

Our room here was very spacious, wth an enormous and well appointed bathroom, tastefully decorated, and with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent, with local bacon and sausages, well done, just as we had requested, and proper orange juice - which should be the norm, but sadly isn't. The proprietors were professional and helpful. The property is a bit... more

A friend and I stayed two nights. Lovely, big old Victorian vicarage, with breakfast room and front bedrooms overlooking church and estuary beyond. Slightly off the main road so lovely and quiet. The owners were friendly and charming and unobtrusive, and the breakfast was fantastic. Upstairs room (7) was large and light with Victorian-ish wooden furniture - huge, high firm... more
