We had originally planned a weekend getaway -- looking for something romantic for both of us, but also catering to our individual tastes - high end food and the outdoors for me, and charm and pampering for my wife. Glendorn delivered this and much more. The property itself would be magnificent if all you got was a sleeping bag and... more

The Glendorn is a unique place set in the woods and has alot of potential to be a really great place. However, it is terribly outdated and in need of alot of work. While the meals are the highlight of the stay, your money could be better spent elsewhere. It is pricey for what you get and the level of... more

I am hesitant to write but Glendorn's best days are behind. I tend to agree with the previous post that although the product isn't updated and there is some charm with that, what truly lacks is the service. We were there three years ago and the service was impeccable. The cuisine, outstanding. The friendliness of the staff, over-whelming. This past... more

We just spent a night at Glendorn for our 10th wedding anniversary. Overall we had a pleasant time but Glendorn in my opinion does not deserve the price tag it is asking. We have stayed at previous Relais and Chateau hotels and had booked Glendorn expecting the same quality of furnishings and service. Both fell way short of our previous... more

We spent a lot of time looking at reviews before deciding to visit Glendorn because we worried that the property might be past its prime and didn't want to commit to such an expensive and hard to reach location unless it was clear it would be worth the $. I'm happy to report that it was worth every penny. The... more

What a wonderful getaway for our 1st anniversary! The property was overwhelming with trees and trails and the cabin we stayed in was rustic yet beautiful. We stayed for a three day, two night weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were fortunate enough to have reserved the Miller cabin which in my opinion was the best of all of them.... more

My husband and I spent our 11th wedding anniversary at Glendorn this past weekend. The service was excellent from original booking to check out. Glendorn experienced a significant storm a few days before our arrival causing their main transformer to go. They kept in contact with us prior to our stay to let us know whether full power would be... more

We have always enjoyed our times at Glendorn, especially at the holidays but this year felt different. First of all the Great room with the fireplace is where dinner/lunch was always served and now they moved dining into the Game Room which doesn't have half the appeal. It felt much more like we got less for our money and to... more

My wife and I just returned from our yearly stay at Glendorn. As always we packed our cross-country skis in anticipation of Bradford's renowned winters - only to be let down by Mother Nature, but, fortunately not by Glendorn. We always look forward to taking a few days each winter to experience the old-world charm of this rare location. Skiing,... more

I've spent nearly half of my 20-year career in hotels and resorts, traveling all over the U.S. I've stayed in everything from boutique hotels in NYC and luxurious Florida resorts to New England B&Bs and California wine country inns. Glendorn ranks among the best when it comes to the total package. We spent Valentine's Day there in 2005 and it... more
