The people running this exquisite but old establishment are down to earth, friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The building has an air of mystery and adventure. Ask the owners and they will thrill you with stories of times gone by, about how the area was used for smuggling and the reported tunnels that weave like spaghetti under Gordon... more

Somebody else called the Gordon House “The only thing we could find” and gave a mere two stars. I don't know what they were expecting. True, there are no uniformed bellboys and neither is there a salon with a piano trio playing for afternoon tea. But maybe you're like me and have no wish to pay for such things. I... more

We arrived in Wimborne Minister at dinner time after a long day. Hadn't booked ahead as we didn't know where we'd end up that day.
