I can’t say enough amazing things about our experience at Jake’s. The hotel is quirky and charming and unlike any place you will ever visit. The staff – everyone in Treasure Beach, for that matter – is incredibly warm and welcoming. We were instantly made to feel like family and a part of the authentic culture of the community. As... more
My husband and I just returned from Jakes about two weeks ago and I just wanted to say how amazing our experience was. This was our second time at Jake's- we were there five years ago for our honeymoon and could not think of a more fitting place to spend our five year anniversary. They have an amazing staff and... more
My friend recently got married at Jake's and it was amazing. If you are looking for an affordable, quiet way to experience Jamaica, this is it! The resort is adorable. Each of the rooms was unique and amazing. The staff was all very friendly and the food was very good. I would highly recommend Jake's for a quiet family getaway... more
I am a Jamaican who lives in London and was back home for funeral and a short break. As usual i always stay in hotels but never at Jakes. I found the experience to be wonderful (stayed in mussels villa 8) The food is excellent and staff are always attentive and professional. I have read some of the negative reviews... more
My husband and I spent the last leg of our 3 week weddingmoon at Jakes... we were married in Jamaica at a small resort in a small fishing village, and honestly expected Jakes to be very similar in feel. We were very disappointed. I know most people see bad reviews of this place as poor expectations, but we had just... more
This is an absolutely wonderful place, we loved it the minute we arrived. The staff is very gracious and helpful. Our room was small but really nice and cosy. The gardens are lovely, the views great. And the food... it was really really good! There is a pool, sun lounges, a little beach. They can also provide you with massages.... more
Stayed at Jake's last summer as part of a 30th birthday trip with three girlfriends. We stayed at Sweetlip and had a tremendous time; I'll never forget it. I must say that the Treasure Beach area might have been a bit remote and spare for my tastes, if not for Jake's, which feels so warm and cozy and tranquil and... more
Jake's Resort was our third stop on our recent trip to Jamaica. Nestled along Jamaica's beautiful south coast, it's one of the most romantic places that we have ever visited. We stayed in Octopussy 1, and really loved our romantic seaside castle. The view is simply incredible, the ocean waves seem to be breaking at your doorstep. Pelicans dive into... more
My girlfriend and I stayed in Octopussy 1 in Feb 2008. The room was amazing, with a great patio area with the sea inches away, and a full sun deck on the roof. There is limited choice of alternative eating options nearby, although they change the menu daily at Jakes so that is less of a concern, especially as the... more
