Honestly, that was the most uncomfortable and awkward stay at a bed a breakfast we've ever had. We got in at 9, and maybe that was late, but it was strange not having someone to greet us. We didn't know about the locked gate, and not knowing who or where else in the house other people were. Even in the... more

This a great place, not an anonymous hotel but a house with a soul. The decoration is fun and beautiful, the house and rooms are very clean. Yes the staff is not always there but it's even better for you just feel as if you were at home (and I wish this were home!!). There is only a short and... more

We spent a weekend here in August and loved this place. Don't get me wrong, if you are looking for a resort this is not your place. It more like taking a visit to your aunt's house. Yes, you may find your keys waiting for you in an enevelope, but what do you expect? This is not the sort of... more

Not up to the standard of the colourful web site. Rooms are rather tired and shabby. Certainly agree that there is no Texan welcome. Keys in envelope - front gate difficult to lock. No on site staff. Sometimes the staff turned up to serve breakfast but sometimes they did not arrive at all. Long wait to get served when staff... more

Members of my family stayed at Robin's Nest, where my daughter's wedding was held. Looking at the website from New Zealand, we thought we would be in for a real treat. The staff made the marquee look charming for the wedding, and Jessica was very accommodating with allowing members of the bridal party into the kitchen to prepare food. We... more

This was our first stay at a B&B and it will definitely be our last. It was not a positive experience. We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted ... by our keys in an envelope. The anticipated warm hearted Texan treatment and B&B charm were no where to be found. The rooms were nicely decorated and interesting but that... more

We arrived just before Christmas, and stayed four nights at Robins Nest B&B. The breakfasts served far surpassed anything we were expecting - they were absolutely delicious! The beds were comfortable, and after the first night being a little chilly, we were brought blankets for the second night and all was well after that. This place grows on you day... more

This B&B is fine. However the attitude that I experienced was a little bit less that friendly. For example there's a statement in the "rules" that if you leave something behind, you get charged for the staff's time sending it to you. While this is no big deal, its an example of the little reminders and rules that were scattered... more

Robin's Nest was recomended to me by a friend and it turned out to be just what I needed. Private entry on my room and High speed internet to boot. The property is located in a quite location just minutes from great restaruants and downtown Houston. The breakfast was excellent! more

Upon becoming aware of my dissatisfaction, the owner of Robin's Nest (Robin) did respond to me in a very friendly and professional manner and refunded my money straight away. I believe she handled everything very well and the whole situation was managed to my satisfaction. more
