“Not really worth the price”

My family and I stayed here last night. Pros: Room had a coffee maker, microwave. and fridge. Free continental breakfast. Staff was nice. Cons: Room needs total remodel. Room had a smell to it. Carpet had bad stains every where. Bathroom had mold around the top of the shower and was in serious need of paint. We had reservations for... more

Small room, loud A/C, tiny bathroom. By joining their travel club I got $3 off. At least they did have a continental breakfast--three kinds of cereal, juice, coffee, packaged pastries. We needed a conveniently located room for 2 weekend nights and the America's Best Value Inn (formerly the Budget Inn) had a fairly reasonable rate. Its often true that "you get what you pay for ," and in this case, I wish we'd chosen to pay more somewhere else. The room had a stale odor, the bathroom had stuff growing... more
