We had a wonderful two-day stay at La Lancha. I can't think of anything I'd change. Service was great. Food was delicious. The hotel did a great job organizing transfers from the airport and a trip with a good guide to Tikal. Setting was incomparable --we loved swimming and canoeing in the lake. Maybe it would have been nice if... more

My wife and I stayed at La Lancha for two nights from April 23 to 24, 2008. At first glance, I was expecting it to be flashier, but it blended and did not stand out. At least then! This place grows on you fast and I did not want to leave. Our stay was mainly to visit Tikal, but I... more

I didn't know what to expect considering there was no TV on the property & no phones but my husband & I loved it. The staff is extremely helpful & friendly. The rooms were very clean & nice. The grounds were immaculate. The hotel set up the canoe so my husband & I could row ourselves out onto the lake--quite... more

We travelled to La Lancha from Belize in June of 2007. We stayed in a lakeside cabana which had an amazing view of the lake and a great view of a group of trees in which howler monkeys napped, ate and socialized. Watching and hearing the monkeys up close all day (as well as lots of various wlidlife) was a... more

We visited La Lancha for two nights in mid-January. We enjoyed our visit. We had a rainforest casita (room 6). Great view of the lake out the side. Great food at La Lancha with a Guatemalan taste. Because it was rainy, we didn't do too many activies. We had a personal Mayan guide (organized by our agent prior to our... more

Our stay at La Lancha was incredibly enjoyable. We love the layout of La Lancha, built on a hillside with many steps leading to and from all rooms and common places. This provided for excellent views and a feeling as if you were "in the trees" at times. We stayed for seven nights, allowing us to do many activities as... more

The place is safe, beautiful, and clean. People are complaining here that it's expensive but I think it's a great value. If you want to go cheap, this is not for you. But here you get first class treatement in a clean safe well decorated place for lest then the price of a Best Western in many parts of the... more

We stayed here as part of trip we had organised ourselves around Central America, from the moment we contacted the hotel they could not do enough for us. They gave us a range of options and ideas for how we could travel across the border from our hotel in Belize, in the end we arranged for them to do a... more

We stayed 2 nights at La Lancha, a Coppola resort tucked into the hillside by the lake. The hotel is very pretty, the rooms simple, clean, and comfortable. We could see Toucans, Monkeys, and other jungle creatures right from the balcony which had a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was very accommodating. The food was average although I... more

We spent a week at La Lancha in April 2007, and just loved it. While it was expensive, we did find it worth the money we paid. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, the rooms were clean, and view of the lake (we had a lakeside cabana) was gorgeous, and the pool was also refreshing when the weather got... more
