I read the reviews provided by other holiday-makers and I am not sure what to make of it. We stayed at Cape Sounio for one night only and sure it was very expensive but still it was a highly enjoyable and relaxing experience. Our room included an excellent double-sized jacuzzi, very nice facilities and the setting was brilliant. Beach facilities... more

I have to admit that having read some of the previous reviews for Grecotel Cape Sounio, I was so disappointed, that I even thought of changing the plans for the trip to Sounio. But I am glad I didn’t. My family, and me had a great time at Cape Sounio. Especially my 12 year-old daughter who participated in Jean-Michel Cousteau... more

Having read the previous reviews, some highly critical, I approached Cape Sounion with considerable trepidation. Was very pleasantly surprised. In summary: Pros Gorgeous location not far from Athens. The sunsets over the temple of Poseidon are truly breathtaking. Lovely, clean sea. Nicely kept beach, good service. Constant light breeze that helps enormously in the hot summer days. Lovely sea-water pool.... more

Awful experience, don’t even think about it!!! I am Greek and I am ashamed, the owners are supposed to be famous and important in Greece it is so RIDICULOUS. After 10pm there are only 2 employees at the room service so you have to wait for like 50 mins. we waited 20 mins to be escorted to the room dirty... more

Overall, the setting for this hotel is quite magnificent, but after seeing the pricing and experiencing the facilities, service and food, I agree completely with the previous reviewers that this hotel is seriously overpriced and over-rated. Appointments in the room are dysfunctional, the beds are only mid-grade, and the fit-and-finish are second-rate, at best. Hiding behind the title of "eco-resort"... more

We paid 3,300 Euros a night for a three night stay (9,900 euros in total). The room decor was gold lame sofas, basic plumbing, and the 'two bedroom suite' was in fact one bedroom, with the entrance hall having a sofa bed in it - this WAS NOT A SECOND BEDROOM - as they advertise. Whilst the staff were friendly,... more

Stayed at Grecotel Cape Sounio for 2 nights in early May and glad that I didn’t stay any longer! The views are indeed excellent but staff went out of their way to spoil the holiday. Upon arrival, I asked to be moved to a room with a queen size bed. I was advised that the hotel was fully booked (it... more

As much as I disliked the Athenian Callirhoe Hotel in Athens, I have to write about how much I loved our stay at the Cap Sounio Grechotel. Everything there was fantastic. The hotel has a grand lobby where the staff is so nice, professional and helpful. Special kudos to the head waitress at breakfast who manages her team with expertise... more

Although the hotel looks cute in the beginning, it is clearly overpriced and the service is bad. In addition they charged us late checkout (50% of the daily rate) for no obvious reason - we just checked out at 12.45 instead of 12, and they charged us without warning even though they knew that there was a late night wedding... more
