My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights in September 2008. I'd been to Athens before, and new that Glyfada was a good location to stay. The free shuttle bus from the airport was very convenient, and the service comfortable. The rooms are definitely not the 4* quality you'd expect from places in the UK and US, but it's... more

The hotel was a fine place to stay, but nothing to write home about. The location of being on the Tram line made it a decent place to stay. Just make sure you contact the hotel in advance if you want the hotel shuttle to pick you up at the airport. There is an express bus that run by the... more

We stayed in this hotel rather than stay in Athens. On the good side is that the hotel location is only a few minutes from tram which takes about 45mins into Athens. The hotel is clean and breakfasts were good. On the down side is that the hotel is right next to a 6 lane road which is busy 24... more

We stayed at the Paymyra beach in June of 2006. The hotel itself is great. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is tasty and convenient, and theoutdoor bar is very cozy. The main problem with this property is the surrounding beach. The beach is extremely dirty and we would not lay on it. There was garbage all over the... more

We spent two nights in mid-September, 2007. The public spaces in this hotel show lots of care and thought, and are really pleasant: there's an outdoor bar area with fountain and umbrellas, a clean attractive pool, and a nice lounge and restaurant area with a very appealing breakfast. The rooms are not quite up to the same standard -- they're... more

Stayed at the Palmyra in mid-May '07 for 4 days , it was too long as there really is not much to do in Glyfada except shop. The beach is terrible, so do not go there to lounge on the beach. The hotel is located by a busy highway. We were located on the 2nd floor and it was loud... more

I had stayed at the Palmrya Hotel last week and felt that the 4-star rating from most websites is not justified. Though I felt all the previous reviews from this site were highly accurate, the hotel and its amenties are pretty old. I was not happy with the bath-tub as the flat base is pretty narrow. It can be a... more

Well here it is, my personal review of my stay at the Palmyra Beach Hotel in Glyfada, Athens, as promised. Back in May or June I wrote to the Tripadvisor forums about this hotel to find out what it was like and the feedback was not good at all. I had a group of people visiting Athens for a week... more

There were 8 of us in our party. 5 adults and 3 teenagers. We checked in the late afternoon and the reception desk staff was very accommodating in regards to getting us the right rooms for our group. I mean we had originally booked on 2 rooms and when we arrived we requested a third room as well. They were... more
