We spent some time traveling through Nicaragua in August 2007. While I agree with the other reviews in part, I think we were able to overlook a lot of Norome's flaws when we remembered that we were in the middle of the jungle in the middle of a developing country. I think that the staff puts a lot of effort... more

Norome is the place to stay if you love nature but not camping. You can walk around the lake, or up the road, or hike trails up to the top of the rim. The Laguna is pristine and fun to swim in- the breezes off the lake are a life saver. The best rooms in terms of view are right... more

I stayed here with a friend from Managua who had recommended it. The idea was a winter getaway for me and I could not have imagined a better location. The scenery is superbe with foliage, flowers and wildlife in abundance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, including the more economical ones. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant serves... more

My son and I stayed for one night after visiting the hotel last year. We were dissappointed in not seeing their famous monkeys as it was raining when we arrived. The front desk was extremely helpful but no ATM was available. Luckily I was able to charge everything to my room then charged to my credit card. The road leading... more

The Norome resort was to be the last destination of our Nicaragua package (4 days in Granada, 4 days in San Juan del Sur, 4 days at Norome), a package trip we booked through an agency. After stellar accommodations in Granada (La Gran Francia Hotel) and in San Juan del Sur (Pelican Eyes Resort), we were looking forward to Norome.... more

Our family stayed here last week. The lake is beautiful and the hotel had potential. It is a large place and there were few guests giving us the feeling that everyone knew something we didn't, The brochure, website and promo video show a gym and massages (did not see),,,two pools...(one had no water) and two resturants..( Only one). The menu... more

We had reserved for 3 nights, but stayed just one and looked for elsewhere in Granada. The hotel room was spacious and clean, we liked it until the light was gone. The hotel has emergency power generator, but its capacity doesn`t cover all rooms, which means we were alone in the middle of the jungle, pitch black. The reception did... more

I’ve seen several reviews regarding Norome Villas in Granada and it has led me to think the context that I share my experience. This is what you get for your money. You do get breathtaking picturesque scenery of an amazing extinct volcano crater surrounded by lush vegetation in a jungle and wild animals around you. You do get to swim... more

we stayed at "NOROME " from Nov. 24 to Nov.27,2006 NOROME : a lovely location with the Vulcano Lake and especially the Restaurant located on the lake. This property gives you the impression that it is "looking tired". I also spoke to some Nicaraguans who come up from Managua and they were disappointed as well. If one stays there Studio... more

I just spent five days at Norome (July 28-August 1) -- my second stay this year. The resort looked great with the exception of the upper part of the property, which is overgrown and in need of maintenance. Some villas were really run down up there, but workers appeared to be working on them. The management had suggested that we... more
