We got bumped from the Lake Quinault Lodge due to a computer error, and ended up here for about the same price. Not quite as nicely furnished and maintained, perhaps, but there were no problems and we got a large one-bedroom cabin with a great view of the lake for the same price as a regular room in the lodge.... more

We spent a night this past week at this "resort", which is a term I would use rather loosely. It is dire need of renovation and updating. As mentioned in a previous review there is plywood layered over probably rotted wood on the upstairs deck. The carpet in the room is worn and the bathroom well.... Since there is not... more

We spent 5 days at the Rainforest Resort with our 4 children (15, 13, 11 & 8). Our 2 bedroom cabin (no 5) was plenty large enough for us all and had a great position overlooking the lake. As expected this is not a luxury property but is in a fairly remote part of the Olympic Park and is an... more

If you like the great outdoors but don't have a tent, this is the place for you. There was no air condtioning or ceiling fan in our room. Since the curtains were left open, with the sun shining in all day, the room was excruciatingly hot - probably 90 degrees throughout most of the night, with no way to cool... more

This place is fine but not a luxury resort by any means. If you are picky, you may want to look elsewhere but if you can sacrifice luxurious accomodations for beautiful natural settings, then you may be okay with this place. We stayed in cabin #18. The cabin is very conveniently located to local outdoor activities, plus the store is... more

We stayed at the Rain Forest Resort In mid-Sept and enjoyed our experience very much. We were hesitant to book given the mixed reviews, but we were pleased with our $89 first floor room in the "village inn" section. It wasn't fancy by any means, but the clean, rustic wood paneled room suited the spectacular view from the huge window... more

We were a bit apprehensive about staying here after reading some of the past reviews but could not get a room at the Quinault Lodge so decided to give Rain Forest Resort a try. We were not dissappointed. Made reservations over the phone - lady who takes your reservations also hands you the key when you get there. Office is... more

We stayed here the night before our backbacking trip to the Enchanted Valley. Very flexible staff, as we arrived after hours and left early in the morning. The view is great as it overlooks Lake Quinault. The rooms are decent, more of a rustic cabin feel. By no means a luxery resort, but a good place to launch your camping... more

Stayed here July '07. This place has cabins plus motel rooms. We stayed in the motel section. A cabin experience may be different. This was an okay place to spend the night while you do other things, but this is not a destination by itself. Our room was in the motel-like building, on the 2nd floor. Similar to a Motel... more

The best thing about Ranforest Village is that they had an open Fri. night at the last minute whereas everyone else on the lake was full for the weekend. Had the hotel (Village Inn) room been under$75/night I'd say it was a great, cheap alternative. But at $115/night, next time I'd probably stay home. I'll list our grievances: the worst... more
