The Plantation Inn is a lovely property in a great location in Lahaina. Having previously spent twice as much at hotel properties in Wailea and Kaanapali, the Plantation Inn is a great value, especially if you book the car/room package. We saved several hundred dollars a night. The property is very well taken care of and the staff is friendly... more

We wanted a small B&B that was quiet yet near the shops and dining. Plantation Inn is the perfect fit. We thought it was a Central place whether horseback rinding in North Shore, visiting the crater and Hana, or heading south to Wailea for surfing. It took 45 minutes to reach each destination. At the end of the day, the... more

The Plantation Inn in Lahaina claims that it is the best B & B in Maui...which makes one wonder how the worst could be any worse! (Actually, we also stayed at the Pineapple Inn in Maui and that was great - the Plantation Inn is simply deluded.) The staff was surly at best, not exactly the "aloha spirit" the travel... more

We stayed in the Plantation Inn during our Honeymoon. The Inn offers very elegant rooms, which are not big but very comfortable. Since the Inn does only offer a small amount of rooms you feel pretty much alone on the premises and when using the pool. The location is great in the middle of Lahaina just within a one minute... more

My husband and I enjoyed our 3 night stay while on our Honeymoon. We had a Deluxe room by the pool. The room was comparable to many B&Bs we have stayed at. The room was furnished with antiques or what passes as antique. The bathroom was small, but clean. The pool and hot tub were nice. It looked like the... more

What can i say? we booked directly with the hotel (actually its an Inn because it only has a handful of rooms) we arrived mid afternoon and were given 3 keys to choose the room we preffered, naturally we chose the four-poster bedroom. the room was huge with an ensuite (large shower!), fridge, air-con, TV, Safe, Iron & Board, Lounge... more

My husband and I stayed at the Plantation Inn for two nights on our honeymoon in Maui prior to staying at the Four Seasons in Wailea. We had stayed at the Inn in a previous trip to Maui for a friend's wedding and it was one of the most reasonable places we could find for the money (with Maui being... more

Having never been to Maui before, I relied heavily on the lodging websites in figuring out where to stay. The pictures of this place gave me a different impression than what I saw in reality. Overall my stay was fine, but I have 2 complaints. One is that I didn't like Lahaina at all. Not one beach within walking distance.... more

After reading rave reviews of this place in both Frommers and Fodors, I decided to book online. I should have read trip advisor more thoroughly first, because I didn't realize there would be such a stark contrast between the "Deluxe Rooms" (roughly $100 more a night) than the "Superior Rooms" which were just over $200 a night but included car... more

We stayed in room #10 for two nights. PROs: Good central location on the west side of Maui (although the town of Lahaina is a cheesy cruise ship port so you have to wade through a lot of crappy tourist traps) Tasty breakfast. Clean rooms. Decent parking (Lahaina is a general pain for parking) Nice lanai area CONs: - Our... more
