This is one of the best bed and breakfasts that we have ever stayed in! My husband and I wanted a romantic place to spend our 10 year wedding anniversary. This was the place! We loved the outdoor shower and the views. The breakfast was simple yet fresh and was a good start to the day. Amy and Dan were... more

This is just the most wonderful place we have ever stayed! It is very serene and peaceful and not in the middle of all of the tourist bustle like many of the resorts. We felt like we had the place to ourselves, even though we would occasionally see other couples. I am very suprised by the comment below about the... more

May 23-27, 2008 My husband and I just returned from Maui. We celebrated our 1 yr anniversary by returning to Ho'oilo House. We were married there last year so this was our 2nd stay ... I was just too lazy to write last year. :) We stayed at HH the first 4 nights of our trip. Ho'oilo House is amazing.... more

We visited Hio'olo House for our honeymoon and did have high expectations. Upon arrival we were impressed with the overall look of the property, well kept and nice balinese themed building and gardens. The host greeted us and was quite friendly to begin with. I choose the accommodation based on the website and thought it was separate private cottages, in... more

We really do appreciate our guests posting reviews – but this one leaves us a little surprised and even a little confused. We believe our website is very clear that we have a 6-room B&B…not individual cottages. It’s unfortunate that this guest was somehow confused about our accommodations. We have reread our site and find that we use the words...

We just returned from our stay at Ho'oilo House, May 13th-16th. We stayed in the Kipuka suite. It was really nice, the decor is amazing. The whole place is really beautiful with great attention to detail. We were amazed by all the wood work and the open air setting. There were Koi ponds and flowers/plants all though out the property.... more

We stayed at Ho'oilo house for 1 week from the 12th March this year before going to Oahu. We were getting married at Makena Beach on the 3rd day so wanted a quiet and romatic spot to stay . Ho'oilo House lived up to this and then some. Dan was very welcoming and helpful. Some people have mentioned that there... more

We stayed at Ho'oilo house during spring break and had our wedding and honeymoon on the property. We were looking for a place of quiet away from the typical tourist hotels and resorts full of kids. We found this little hideaway tucked into the west Maui mountains near Lahaina. We stayed in Nalu in the back of the property, but... more

Ho'oilo house is a lovely b&b located in the West Maui mountains. You drive up through a private road, and you are in a RESIDENTIAL community-funny, no one ever mentioned this before in any of the reviews. We got lost while driving, so called Amy and Dan, but got Hal -Amy's uncle instead. Amy and Dan were quite busy as... more

All I can say is that the Ho'oilo House transformed our trip to Maui from a beach vacation to total paradise. We are generally not a B&B couple but a friend recommended to HH and we were blown away. Regretably we only stayed for five nights before moving to Wailea to a mega resort. We paid double in Wailea and... more

Aloha - This was our second time visiting the Ho'olio House (we were there for a week in Jan 2007), and we were simply blown away - - this was one of the most relaxing, romantic vacations ever. Last stay, the hosts had some quirks to work through, but all seemed under control on this second visit. Ho'olio House is... more
