I stayed here for a convention that was held a few blocks away and was blown away at how incredibly perfect everything was. The price was super reasonable. The service was perfect. The accommodations and amenities left nothing more to be desired (except maybe an indoor pool but not a big deal in my opinion). Not to mention the location... more

We stayed for two nights in the basic, King delux. We paid $233 per night excluding taxes and parking, which ultimately put us at $300 per night. The rooms were fine, except for the tiny bathrooms that had you brushing up against the toilet to enter the tub. The biggest complaints I have are that continental breakfast isn't included and... more

I had to come to San Francisco for a conference at the Marriott downtown. Because I prefer to stay in smaller hotels, I booked the Palomar which is right across the street from the Marriott. I couldn't have been happier with the experience. The staff was welcoming and very helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable. My first night they... more

We've stayed at quite a few Kimpton Group hotels in San Francisco, but this is our favorite. It is very clean with sleek, modern furnishings. Easy walking distance to Union Square, Westfield Mall, cable car and restaurants. Quiet, too. more

We have stayed at the Palomar several times in the last year when visiting our daughter who lives in the area. Staff remember us from visit to visit and are very welcoming, even remembering our preferences. The hotel chain has been sold and they have upgraded some of the services e.g. wine tasting nightly. Location is central to everything. We... more

This was an amazing hotel!!. It was located in the heart of everything. You were a block and half away from the cable car pick up; you were on the corner of all the shops including Walgreen’s. The visitors’ center was about two blocks away, and I know I was worried about parking but there was a parking structure around... more

We stayed at the Hotel Palomar, with our two dogs, for one week. The hotel is decorated in an art deco style with modern touches. It isn't fancy or super luxurious, but it is very stylish and nicely appointed. The best part of our stay here and why we choose Kimpton Hotels when possible is because of the staff. Kimpton... more

I tend to stay alot in San Francisco. The Palomar is by far a better hotel than I would have thought. I thought, oh a knock off of the W. This hotel exceeds the W. The service was impecable. Anything we needed, we called for and it was in our room within minutes. The location is fantastic! Right there by... more

unfortunately chosen a wrong rainy season to visit, the the hotel staff and the location are some of the things to make my trip wonderful. having said that, on the other side is that we have enjoyed sf with less tourist, it's like the whole city is yours. me and my partner absolutely loved the decor of the hotel, it's... more

The Palomar brand is now popping up all across the country; my first experience was with the exceedingly glamorous Palomar in Washington, DC. Last year I booked a room at the Palomar in San Francisco and have since made it my preferred hotel in that city. The SF Palomar is NOT glamorous. It may have been when it first opened... more
