This hotel is full of character and charm, but is not for the person who is a hotel snob. The rates are reasonable and there are no frills and no pampering....just a good, clean place to sleep before going out for whatever you came to Boston to do. THE STAFF IS EXCEPTIONAL and will go the extra mile to make... more

I let my wife book this trip and I was really worried when I saw the reviews on TripAdvisor, but it was too late to cancel. Anyway, the hotel was fine. No roaches, parking was available, the staff were pleasant enough and the room was clean enough. Don't get me wrong, it's no luxury room. I was happy to sleep... more

We were on a baseball weekend, and you couldn't get closer to Fenway park unless someone dropped you off in front. It was very close to the subway, and just a few stops from historical places. There were also great sports bars within walking distance. The facility was roomy, clean, and full of character. We arrived about midnight, and the... more

I know this sounds like a complete contradiction.....the hotel was very clean....but we had a roach in our bathroom. Go figure. more

This hotel is exactly what they say they are. An affordable hotel with a great location in a city that has very few affordable hotels. My wife and I found the hotel to be clean and the staff to be very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for four star accomodations at a 2 star rate, the Buck will... more

This hotel is directly opposite Boston University. It claims to be "restored to its prior grandeur". I was looking for a nice, inexpensive hotel for my family to attend a seminar at Boston U. I assumed since it was across the street that it would be nice. $150.00 for the night. The parking for the hotel was below street level... more

No issues. Based on their service I would say they were about a 1 star, but everything was clean and entirely unobjectionable. I stayed in a suite with 4 other people and it was the lowest rate we could get in the area. The night I arrived there was a Sox game visible from the window which I found exciting.... more

I too was apprehensive about staying there after reading reviews. But it was much less expensive than the conference hotels and a 10 minute walk to the convention center. My room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The only downside was some hallway noise from late-night baseball fans post-game. We skipped the offered breakfast - it did not seem attractive.... more

Thie staff is horribly rude parking is first come first serve the bed are uncomfortable. They allow scalpers to conduct business in the lobby. All in all it was the worst hotel I have ever been to I would prefer motel 6. I strongly urge you not to ruin your vacation stay else where. more
