This is a very dog friendly hotel. It was clean, offered a great breakfast, and the location was near Mission Beach and the ipayone center. We will return on the next trip. It offered a lot for the money. more

The positives = The bathrooms were nice, new, clean and had shampoo, condtioner etc.. The room was clean, Big TV with movies. Breakfast is included. Free parking. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Del Mar for several nights in June 2005. Our standard double room was clean and up-to-date, very nice bathroom. Not the largest room in the world, but adequate. The daily free breakfast is excellent with lots of choices. The desk staff were cheery and very helpful, giving us a free map showing restaurants etc.... more

I stayed here one night on my way down to San Diego, after taking reviews from TripAdvisor. The hotel is right off the I5, next to a gas station and the hilton.
