We booked this hotel with out seeing any pictures or reading any reviews. After I read the reviews this place sounded great. Getting there was very easy to find. It is with in 2 blocks of old town and shopping. I ate in the hotel restrant once for breakfast and it was not very good, I waited 30 min for... more

When my husband booked our room a month in advance, he asked that we be placed in a room that was not on the freeway side. So what room did they give us? Exactly. And when we asked to be moved, we were told that it was not possible. Thank goodness I went and asked another desk clerk and after... more

When I was looking for a place to stay during the Rock n Roll Marathon San Diego...I found few places available in downtown San Diego, so i opted to try something close to Old Town even though it seemed a little distant from the marathon course. Turns out that I made a wise decision as Old Town is a great... more

I enjoy the Courtyard San Diego Old Town. It is not a Five Star Hotel, but a great basic hotel. It does not posses great cuisine, but great location to Old Town. You are kept away from the hustle and bustle of San Diego and rather in a quaint, comfortable, tourist area. Surrounded by great Mexican Cusine, and a relaxing... more

My wife and I decided we needed a break from the chores of daily life and we got it at this hotel. OK, so it was not the best hotel in San Diego, but it sure has a great location. We had a rental car so we were not dependent on public transport. Our room was typical of a Marriott... more

A typical Courtyard, though with a southern California flavor. The big plus is the short walk to the sights and eateries in Old Town - love that Cafe Coyote! It is right alongside 'the' I-5, so you may want to opt for the quieter side street rooms. The open-air breakfast area is nice if it isn't too chilly outside. Oddly... more

I paid $189 for a room that definetly wasn't worth it! It's a standard Marriott Courtyard room, just like you would expect anywhere else...just a little pricier! It's all about location, location, location. Indeed, this is a great spot to stay in. It's very central and there are many bars/restaurants you can walk to. The staff was very nice and... more

It's all about location. Pros: It's within walking distance to Old Town. Cons: I booked this room on Priceline for $50. I imagine this is why they put us in a room facing the highway -- the hotel backs up to an onramp for I-5, so it can be noisy. They also tried to charge us $15 daily for parking... more

I traveled to San Diego for a wedding, and decided on this Courtyard hotel based on it's location, and I was very happy with my decision! I had been to San Diego once before and stayed in Mission Bay, which is beautiful but completely out of reach from most attractions. Old Town is the complete opposite - just in walking... more

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time. The location was great - close to airport, walk to restuarants and trolley. The staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were clean, bed comfortable and spacious. In old town, if you like Tequila, El Agave has a huge selection and... more
