I noticed a strong chemical smell when I first entered the room. Found out there was a packet of air freshener lodged in the a/c unit vents. The carpet was inexplicably sticky too, perhaps from excessive carpet cleaners use? it was a very pleasant experience to stay over this motel in a very cheap rate.. its very near to all the places of attraction at san diego... clean and nice rooms and friendly staff.. reliable place to stay... i would like to stay at this motel when i will be back at san diego... more

The room was about the size of a King bed, so to get out of the Queen bed, you would run into something. But, the parking lot felt safe at night, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I'm writing this review from the hotel room. The room is very small, tiny. It's clean, with a stale smell. It's very basic, with A/C and TV. Everything works ok. The bathroom is ok. Facilities are adequate for a budget motel, although no great shakes compared to other Super-8 motels. Management is bad: they overcharge, and refuse to correct the error. Check every receipt carefully. more
