I stayed at the Westin San Diego for a conference and really loved the hotel. Its location was convenient to a few restaurants (you must try Currant, a couple of blocks down Broadway), the harbor and a mall. I really enjoyed being able to walk to these sites. The bed was also SO comfortable, and the room was spacious. However,... more

I stayed here with my hubby, and 3 kids (7, 5, 1) and had a great time. I thought the room (2 doubles) was spacious and the beds were sooo cozy. We could walk to the USS Midway, and many restaurants..took a pedal cab to sea port village for $10. The rail station is only a block away. We enjoyed... more

We quickly checked into the hotel at noon and immediately went up to our room after valeting our car. We were quite disappointed in the room. It was small. not very nicely decorated, the TV didn't work, the bathroom was dark and dingy with all four lights on, and there were no bathroom toiletries for a shower. Fortunately we had... more

The hotel is located a couple of blocks from Amtrak. They have a shuttle bus from the airport. Upon check in, the room was not made up. Which was initially ok, because they sent us from the 10th floor to the 22nd. But the new room was smaller. Sometimes my 7 year old daughter walked into the bathroom after opening... more

One thing you have to say about a Westin is that they are consistently the same. No matter what city...or even country... you are in, you step into a Westin room and you have to look out the window to remind yourself where you are. This is not necessarily a bad thing. When you are traveling on business (which this... more

Just returned from a refreshing weekend in San Diego. I had a business seminar and my husband accompanied me so we could enjoy the evenings together. we arrived at the hotel on saturday afternoon at 1pm and were able to check into our room early. this was after absolutely no wait at the front desk and without calling ahead to... more

This hotel is below expectations for a Westin. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a business trip. The location is good for walking to San Diego's business district, and plenty of restaurants and shopping are nearby. I would recommend this hotel to business travelers, but not for vacationers. Below Average: Valet Service is poor... more

We spent 6 nights at this Westin chosen for us by the powers that be for the meeting my husband attended. Check-in was beyond slow as there was just one person working the front desk when we, along with a throng of others, arrived early on a Sunday afternoon. We were given a corner room on the 18th floor which... more

Our recent stay at the Westin San Diego was pleasant, yet unremarkable. The hotel staff with whom we had contact was courteous and efficient (check in took less than five minutes on a Saturday afternoon). Once in our room, we were pleased with how clean it was, although the decor was not necessarily fabulous. The bed, however, was exceptionally comfortable.... more

I booked before it opened with a little trepidation, but the rate was too good to pass up. Any concerns were immediately put at ease when I walked into the lobby. It is a beautiful inner city hotel with a highly attentive staff. Location is closer to the business district, but walkable to the harbor and a variety of good... more
