My husband and two daughters stayed at the LATP last weekend and I was amazed at the fantastic service and beautiful setting. The service was over the top and from check in to check out we were treated like the only people staying at the hotel. Our Palisades room 321 had a view of the grounds looking out to the... more

This is in no way a 5 Diamond hotel. With 5 Diamond hotels, we expect not only a great room, but excellent service. The rooms were okay. Like most reviews, the rooms are not very well lit, but not that big of a deal. The bedding and linens were very comfortable. Rooms were well done otherwise. The Beach service was... more

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and very much enjoyed it. Hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. They consistently did all the extra little things that set this property apart from other properties where I recently stayed. One example would be the bellman offering me a bottle of water for the ride as I got in... more

Stayed at The Lodge with a couple of days vacation tacked on to a corporate meeting. Very smart hotel, with exceptional service. Fantastic views and very convenient for La Jolla, and I5 into San Diego. Clearly great for the golf, if you play. The craftsman style not entirely to my taste as a little gloomy, but they don't pretend otherwise.... more

We had very high expectations for the Lodge, and they were met across the board. In an age that I think of as the "generification" of American, the Lodge stands out as a truly unique property. Admittedly those who do not care for the craftsman style may find it somewhat dark...but everything - including all public spaces - is true... more

We stayed at The Lodge for four days, while meeting some friends in the area during the holidays. The hotel is undeniably beautiful, with it's craftsman exterior, lovely common areas and well appointed rooms. We stayed in a Palisades King room, which I highly recommend because it has a fireplace and a large marble bathroom with a separate shower and... more

My wife and I stayed four nights at Torrey Pines over the Christmas holiday. It was a great experience that was slightly marred by some problems with the room. Understand up front that this hotel is expensive and that you will spend a considerable amount of money to stay here. If you can afford it, you will enjoy your stay... more

I stayed at the Lodge in the winter of 2007 with my company. I always sneak away to a spa when I can, and the Lodge's did not disappoint! My therapist, Christy, was gracious and knowledgeable and gave me what may be the best massage of my life! The entire spa experience comes highly recommended and if you stay at... more

This is a great hotel. It's built in the Craftsman style, which means wood panelling throughout the place, beautiful artwork, and a roaring fire in the evening. The Lodge overlooks the two world-class Torrey Pines golf courses, beyond which lies the Pacific Ocean. Down the road is Torrey Pines State Park, which is about the most beautiful part of the... more

People are reconsidereing their trips to San Diego becasuse of the wildfires, but there are no problems there. Air quality and roads etc are fine in the Coastal areas and San Diegans are so happy that visitors are there! I felt that the moment I checked into the Lodge...they were very reassuring about the status of the city post-wildfires. I... more
