We found this hotel online and called to reserve a room after reading the reviews. We were surprised when they advised us that it would save us even more money to use their website to reserve! However, when we called a few weeks later they had no record of our reservation. After a day of phone tag we finalized our... more

I stayed here while at a conference last month (Jan 08). I stayed in one of the renovated rooms, #57. The room was HUGE, bright and new. Frig, microwave, coffee maker, short walk to the beach. TOTAL for 3 nights with tax was $254. Staff was friendly, recommended restaurants (many to choose from in the area.) HIGHLY recommended. more

We booked this inn through the hotel website and phoned to confirm (please do). We had booked a 2 bed room. We checked in on Dec 31st and found out that others who had booked through various websites and not confirmed their rooms had no room available. They were very accomodating even on new years eve and referred to another... more

This was the first trip to San Diego for my wife and me and we wanted to experience the fabled Southern California beach culture. We're both in our 60's, so by experience I mean, watch. We stayed for three nights Saturday-Monday after previously staying in Point Loma for three nights. We choose Pacific Shores Inn based on Travel Advisor reviews... more

I stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. Me and a friend drove here all the way from Flagstaff so we were relieved that check-in was quick and easy. Our rooms where huge, with a mini fridge, microwave etc which certainly helped with keeping our beer cool and some snacks warm, the room was one of the older ones but... more

When I stayed there the first two times it was great because I got a huge room and stayed for 2 weeks each time. The third time I stayed it was a much smaller room and I guess I was spoiled by the first rooms. more

I stayed at this property with three friends this past weekend. For younger adults, this was a great value. Our average night’s stay was $100 for a room with 2 queen beds and a walk in closet large enough to accommodate a queen sized air mattress, room 23. The mini frig and microwave came in handy. Our room was on... more

The room was musty and very unkempt. Cracked tile and calking where water ran down from the shower into the walls. No ammenities in room other than soap and shampoo, paper thin walls, and massive neglect to the room. Felt like a crack-house. more

First, San Diego has mostly ma and pa hotel/motel, which may surprise you. All of the "chain" hotels, (Hilton, Sheraton Hyatt etc) are on the bay not on the ocean. Now there are a lot of motels to choose from in San Diego (pacific, mission and imperial beaches), and I researched all of them. The photos on the web showed... more

I had the grave misfortune of staying in a non-renovated room. It smelled like B.O., the heater was not working well (this was in the middle of a cold spell) and was loud, and the cable wasn't working. It was basically either freezing cold, really loud or both and I couldn't turn on the TV to drown out the noise... more
