The Martime falls into the category of hotels that can be easily underestimated from the outside. We stayed at The Maritime just after New Year's this year for a week. Everything was lovely, spotlessly clean, helpful and friendly staff. The room was small but adequate. Lovely big bathroom with robes and lovely fluffy towels. Wouldnt recommend the breakfast though, was pricey for what you get.
