Took my wife to New York for a suprise birthday weekend in April. My only concern in getting a room in Manhattan at such a relatively great price is that it would not be clean, but I was way off and the place was spotless on the inside. Check in: The lobby was small but nicely decorated. We arrived at... more

Booked two junior suites from Princeline. When we arrived at the hotel they did not have our reservation due to difficulties with their system and Princline's. Therefore, they upgraded us to an executive suite. It was HUGE. It had two bedrooms, each two beds, two baths, full living room, dining room and full kitchen. It had an incredible amount of... more

I stayed there on April 27 to 29, very happy with the choice i made. They upgraded us to two bedrooms suite, i am very surprised to the size of the room, i read the reviews from tripadvisor before i booked and had some kind of ideas, even that still surprised because of my experience with NYC hotels in the... more

I think this review could depend on your point of view. The price was reasonable.....for manhattan island, but for that price some could expect more. We stayed here as the last part of our honeymoon round the world trip and did so trying to get the best value for money for the remaining part of our budget. It was by... more

I chose to stay at Eastgate towers because they were one of a few hotels I could get under $200 a night. How well my money was spent! We were luckily given an early check in after arriving from a red eye flight. Our room was clean, spacious and quiet. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, only 10... more

My husband, my 4 yr old and I stayed at the Eastgate this past weekend, the hotel had been recommended by a friend. On our last trip to NYC we stayed at the Paramount, which was more expensive than Eastgate. Our room at the Paramount was so small that if one person had to move about the room, the others... more

My husband and i spent a week in New York in April 2007.It was our first trip there. We had been told that New York rooms are very small, but this was not the case at EASTGATE TOWER. We had a huge suite, with the biggest bed, a sofa, dining table, kitchenette, and a decent bathroom. And the prices were... more

This hotel was not our 1st choice, however I am SO glad that this is the one we went with. The location was ideal, slightly out but only a 15 min walk to Grand Central Station and beyond. This hotel was clean, had fridge, cooker, microwave etc and VERY SPACIOUS - something that you do not normally get with hotels... more

I was a bit reluctant to stay on the east side of NYC but man did I become enlightened....I don't know that I will ever stay in Times Square again! The Eastgate Tower was originally built in the early 1970's as a high rise apartment building with partial hotel service. This explains the size of the rooms and kitchenettes. Our... more

The majority of the staff, especially the day shift was helpful and really tried to be professional and assist us. The only request we had when we made our reservation was that we wanted two beds in our room, and the rooms to be non-smoking rooms. Neither of these requests happened. When we inquired if we could have another room,... more

I would like to apologize for not having any non - smoking and two- bedded rooms available during your stay, as you requested.
