Took daughter to NY for 18th birthday. Have lived and stayed in NY before - last visit 2000 - much cleaner and safer. Hotel better than expectations or advice. Comfortable rooms and service excellent. Had 2 rooms and hotel managed to get rooms next to each other (+ upgrade) - which was a nice touch. Air conditioning units a little... more

After hearing about this hotel from friends and seeing the positive reviews online, I was not disappointed. This is an elegant hotel in a perfect location. The premises are elegant and impeccably maintained. Our room was luxurious and comfortable. Housekeeping was immaculate. The staff was professional and friendly. Enjoyed the convenience of the complementary coffee bar(several varieties, as well as... more

Spent one night at the Michelangelo. Excellent Service from the entire staff. Booked a standard room and received a complimentary upgrade to a Grand one bedroom suite. We've stayed in several hotels in NYC but this by far was the best experience ever. Location is convenient and within walking distance to theater district, Central Park, Times Square, etc. Elegant, Classy... more

We stay at the Michaelangelo each spring. We meet friends there and we go to dinner, a show, and an opera. The Michaelangelo is located close to just about everything that we do while in New York. The service is excellent...the breakfast is very good....the bar in the evening stays open until 1:00 which is good for after the opera.... more

Stayed at the Michelangelo for a one day business trip in April. The hotel is absolutely beautiful with an elegant, spacious lobby. The room was very large, esp. by NYC standards and incredibly well maintained -- very clean, even with beige carpeting. The bathroom was on the small side but appeared to be very new. The check-out is a bit... more

My wife and I stayed at the Michelangelo for our first visit to New York. We loved the hotel and the city. The service was excellent, the room was spacious and quiet, and the hotel is centrally located. On Saturday night when we came back to the hotel, the air conditioning had gone out. Within 10 minutes of my call,... more

Although this is a boutique hotel, it was a great location and the rooms were very large for NYC. The amenities and decor are really second to none and they are updated unlike other similar hotels in NYC. The only possible downside was the staff was not the calibre you would expect at a $500 a night hotel, but overall,... more

My husband & I arrived April 2, 2008 for 4 nights to celebrate our 21st anniversary. We had booked a standard room but were upgraded to a studio on the 7th floor upon our arrival. The room was LARGE and very comfortable. There was a walk-in closet and vanity shelf and mirror in addition to the large bathroom with awesome... more
