This was everything it seemed on both the web and tripadvisor comments. The view of the empire state building was stunning and you can look down and see the hotel from the top of the building too! Easy shopping in macys from there and walkable to Penn station. In fact walkable to most key sites - or quick metro/bus/taxi away.... more

I could hardly fault the Hotel Metro! Location couldn't be better: a subway at the end of the street along with Macy's, 15 min walk from Times Square, half a block from the ESB! Chose Hotel Metro thanks to reviewers on this website. Couldn't fault it at all. Staff extremely helpful. 2nd floor room at back meant it was really quiet and we could walk upstairs. Free internet access. Excellent huge muffins and bagels/cereals/yoghurt for complimentary breakfast and all day tea and coffee/hot water provided free.
