My wife and I spent several nights at the Motel 6. It certainly is inexpensive for this area. The rooms are smallish and reasonably clean, but quite spartan. The walls, windows and doors are painfully thin, so if you are not up and out at dawn, you will be awakened by the noise of others. If you are tall, prepare... more

I wanted a nice basic place to spend a night in Mammoth Lakes while passing through, and this Motel 6 lived up to that. Everything was clean and quiet, and we were able to walk to local restaurants. The desk staff were very polite and friendly. The central location was excellent. This is a relatively new property in a generic... more

Stayed here twice as a half-way point during a long round-trip, road trip. Booked online, and the price was right. Bring your own pillow, because the ones provided are awfully thin and the mattress is hard. I could deal with the mattress for a night, but the pillow caused a stiff neck in the morning. Also, it's not the fault... more

We read the reviews here before booking, and I'm glad we did - they were right on, at least about the Motel 6. It IS clean, at least the rooms are; the public walkways looked a bit worse for wear, but that's the fault of the people staying there (we were there during motocross week, unfortunately) and not the motel.... more

As Motel 6's go, this one is among the best. Clean, well lit, easy to find, quiet, recently refurbished. Obviously, there's not a lot to say about a Motel 6. You know what you're gonna get, but you don't know what condition it will be in, and what the neighborhood will be like until you arrive. Well, have no fear,... more

Basic motel accomodation probably typical of all Motel 6 but the room was clean and comfortable, although they were not able to supply us with a fridge of microwave dispite booking months in advance and staying for 5 nights. Location is on the main road into Mammoth with the village area about half a mile away and the town restaurants... more

We checked in, and our room, although very tiny was fine...except that they heat didn't work (in December?), They promptly changed our room and it was a carbon copy of the other room, except that this time the heat worked....but only too well. We kept having to get up through the night to adjust the temperature and open the door... more

We were told one price and when we arrived they added $15 a night with out telling us. The beds were smaller than what we booked. I strongly suspect this is a bait and switch. You could not count on them to do much for you, but you could count on the maid service and ample parking. The rooms were... more
