We got this room for about $100 on Hotwire. We stayed one night and I would say we had an okay stay. Nothing to write home about. The room was small, but the beds were really comfy. The carpeting was stained, and little things like the wallpaper peeling in the bathroom makes me think this place needs a little remodeling.... more

We tend to avoid Sheratons and Hiltons. We find them to be overpriced for what they offer. We stayed at the Sheraton University City because of visiting U Penn, a short walk from the hotel. The check-in was the best part of the stay. The woman who helped us was the most professional and courteous front desk person we ever... more

Pros: Clean, nicely appointed rooms, free wireless, large screen TV, Beds were very comfortable. Quiet (apart from the occasional siren from the street). Incorrect incidental charges to my Visa were removed as promised (I had to catch a train, so I didn't have time to see that it was resolved in person). Staff were friendly and helpful. Fridge in the... more

I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors to the University of Pennsylvania. It is comfortably furnished, clean, well located, and a great value. There is convenient self parking at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and helpful. more

Very average hotel at best. Rooms need serious updating. Housekeeping staff constantly knocking on door. Disappointed that, while the club lounge is down, they did not take care of their frequent starwood guests. Typically they would offer a free breakfast in their restaurant, at other starwood properties. Not so at this location. The food at the hotel is a plus... more

We stayed over one night and booked through Hotwire. We got a room with 2 full beds which is sort of odd. Though the room was comfortable and clean. Parking is 15$ in an overnight garage, but you can come and go as you please. Also, the parking is very tight. What we liked was the close proximity to their... more

My room was a double. Beds were very comfortable. The carpeting is a worn and probably in need of cleaning. I debated about walking around barefeet. Desk size is ample and a power surge strip is provided for laptop & internet usage. The desk chair had questionable white stains so I sat on a small pillow throughout the stay. The... more

Our stay at the Sheraton over the New Year's Holiday wasn't horrible...i just wasn't impressed. I've booked with Hotwire before and have usually paid a fraction of the nightly rate for some great rooms, but there was something lacking at the Sheraton. The minute we arrived we were perplexed at the design of the parking garage, which was extremely tight... more

Had breakfast at the hotel which again was very very nice. Hotel is very good for taxis to get into the town and definitly recommend a vist to Reading Terminal Market and also the resteruant... more

I stayed in Philly for 5 nights and could not find a hotel closer to downtown (e.g. on Broad or Market St), so ended up near U of Penn in the University City area. This ended up being a pleasant surprise, given the college town atmosphere and nice walking paths in the area. The hotel itself was solid, if not... more
