Location is wonderful. Staff is good. Hotel needs refurbishing...carpet is worn, room looks tired. That being said, considering the location, the good comfort and cleanliness, and don't forget the price, it's an excellent value. Recommended when on a budget. more

Door men were wonderful. Valet parking. Check in took only minutes. Our room was clean and quaint. We stayed in a corner room that had 8 windows! Great view of the city and streets. The bed was very comfortable. We requested online, robes and extra pillows. When we entered our room there were two robes and two extra pillows on... more

Great service! Doormen greeted us curbside, general manager personally welcomed us in the lobby and escorted us to the reception area. Front desk staff were knowledgeable and willing to help. Lobby was small and cozy. Guestroom was oversized for a city hotel and very clean. Plenty of natural light and great views of the city. Hotel is showing signs of... more

In contrast to some of the reviewers below, I found the Latham to be a very pleasant hotel. My room was homey, spacious and clean, with excellent HVAC control and a large, bright and absolutely spotless bathroom. There is, however, a definite feeling of age about the hotel and the lobby is somewhat on the austere side. Nevertheless, I found... more

Can't beat the location for the price. However the hotel was somewhat outdated and had an unclean feeling to me. The walls are very thin, and we could hear people opening and closing doors all night. My boyfriend and I were only in town for 1 night, so it was convenient. I wouldn’t' stay there for an extended period of... more

Stayed two nights over President's Day weekend. Rooms were a little on the small side but very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Service was great - valets and doormen all very helpful and offered unsoliticed advice on nearby dining options. Front desk took immediate action when an adjacent room had alarm clock going off at midnight - guests weren't in... more

So, I called the front desk around midnight because my phone had died and I wanted to give them a cc so I could keep the line in the room open as my friend was out. They told me to come down. I left the card key on the desk and went down. They wouldnt take my card, because my... more

The hotel is above average because of the rate & location. 17th & Walnut , can't get much better if you want to stay in center city. Hotel is older, rooms are small, bathroom was on the small side but not bad given the hotel's age. Room was clean, furnishings showing some age but not too bad. The rooms are... more

the Latham was once really grand, but that was a while ago. it's a shame, as the location is good, staff very friendly but the restaurant is closed and the rest of the hotel needs a facelift. great price, though! more

This is a old, historical building which is located in the center of activity. The room we had was large with a bay window overlooking 17th street (we were on the 11th floor - no street noise at all). Large room, very clean, lots of amenities. Bed was excellent - extra pillows provided. Decor was 1890ish - red and green... more
