The room was okay, the bed comfortable enough. The breakfast area was very dirty and the staff seemed to just not care. They complained about their hours and their pay. The floor in the breakfast area was so dirty with crumbs and food and the tables looked like they had not been cleaned in quite a while. The coffee machine... more

Wow! Where do I start? We had confirmation numbers for all our rooms but when we got there we were told we had to have a "contract!!!" Never heard that before! We had to find additional rooms at another hotel. We had overnighted a package to the hotel and when we arrived, we found that they had sent it back!!... more

This was our first trip going with a senior group. Our room were booked through our senior center coordinator. I called ahead with a special request for handicap access. The staff was great answering our needs. The room was clean and comfortable. Seemed to have been newly constructed. I am real picky about staying in motels/hotels. I felt comfortable with... more

We stayed for 3 days in February. Check-in was fine and we received a room with 2 double beds on the 4th floor. The room was kind of clean. Clean on the first look, but when you looked in the corners and in places that are not at obvious, you could find the dirt that was collected over time. One... more

This is definately just for a evening stay, not long term. We stayed Dec 26 - 29, 2007 and I wished I had a short stay. The price was ok, (we booked the room directly thru the hotel and received the managers special, buy two nights get the third free). The daily free breakfast was good, but the beds were... more

Stayed only one night. Conveniently located off the interstate with many other motels, within walking distance to area restaurants such as Shoneys, Cracker Barrell, and fast food. Called directly to make reservations, was quoted a higher rate than I had seen on line, but was given the lower rate of $80 per night. The motel probably wasn't half full that... more

We stay here every Thanksgiving and the three days after. It's a large group of us Corvette people and we always have a good time. The hotel meets our every need. If we bring in dinner on Thanksgiving, they even let us use their little kitchen area. They are always good to us. more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during our wonderful stay in Savannah. The hotel is located just off I-95, only a short drive from the airport. Free parking, free breakfast and free internet were definitely a plus, in addition to a good price. Our room was on the 4th floor and it was clean, with a fridge... more

We needed a hotel room in Savannah for only one night on Sept 11, as we traveled from Florida and didn't want to pay too much. Found the Wingate Inn on hotels.com for $75.00. Every hotel in the immediate area had the word "inn" after it, which gave be a feeling that it would not be top class. Upon entering... more

I stayed at the Wingate for a week. The lobby & initial appearance was beautiful. The location was ideal - 15mins. from Downtown. The guest rooms on the other hand could have used some additional care when it came to housekeeping. Very surface cleaning, ie, the bathroom door was filled with dust & finger prints. The coffee maker still had... more
