1st of all I got the room for $55/night on priceline.com. Then, at check-in, I requested "upgrades" as a Starwood member, and got an access key for the executive level clubroom. This meant free food in the morning and evening. Also: wireless internet is $10 in the room, but free in the lobby. Once you log-in in the lobby you... more

The location of the Sheraton is great. Right across the street from the Alliant Energy Center and a short drive to downtown Madison/UW. I booked two rooms for one night at $60/room thru Priceline and was satisfied with the room for that rate. I noticed normal rates at this hotel are $179/night. I definitely would not pay that to stay... more

We stayed there with our 9 month old - this place was good for kids They opened the restaurant half an hour early for us, the staff was friendly and and the rooms were clean. Nice comforter. It's right off a highway, which I thought would be a bigger deal than it was. If you get a crib, you can... more

We stayed here over the weekend as a less expensive alternative to a hotel the wedding party we were booked stayed in. The hotel is easy to access (right off the John Nolan beltline exit) and has ample, free parking. The lobby looks to be recently remodeled and offers complimentary internet access. The hotel was sold out due to a... more

My experience at the Sheraton was very positive. Check in was friendly and efficient. We were given a room on the third floor floor that appeared to have been recently renovated. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. As a Starwood Preferred Guest I was pleasantly surprised to be given use of the members lounge, a perk which some... more

A room for us was not ready upon arriving at 4pm. The front desk staff asked if we could wait 15 minutes so that a room could be cleaned. No problems, they had a nice lobby with free wifi. I don't think we waited more than 5 minutes before a room was made available and we were upgraded to a... more

I booked two rooms at this hotel via the hotel's website. Booked two rooms, non-smoking, with 2 beds in each room. When I arrived at the hotel at about 11 pm following a football game, the hotel clerk informed me that the hotel had been overbooked and there were no non-smoking rooms available. My choices were to stay in a... more

We booked this hotel last minute for a weekend trip to Madison. Because there was a game, most hotels were booked and we ended up paying a fairly high price for the Sheraton. It was clean and the bed was decent, but the hotel really needs to be updated. The hallways were so drab and depressing. And the lighting in... more

Stayed one weekend night in mid-October 2007. Had a two-bed room on fifth floor. Room was in good shape, was satisfactorily clean, pool/spa/small workout area area were fine, and desk staff were friendly. Did not eat at the restaurant or use wireless. Complimentary Madison Sunday newspaper, which was an unexpected treat. No huge campus or arena events that weekend, so... more

I come to Madison a lot for work. Sometimes I'm not able to get a room downtown so I turned to the Sheraton to give it a try. My work pays for the room so I'm not sure about value but I will say this. In this day and age to charge for internet access in the room is just... more
