A room for us was not ready upon arriving at 4pm. The front desk staff asked if we could wait 15 minutes so that a room could be cleaned. No problems, they had a nice lobby with free wifi. I don't think we waited more than 5 minutes before a room was made available and we were upgraded to a... more

I booked two rooms at this hotel via the hotel's website. Booked two rooms, non-smoking, with 2 beds in each room. When I arrived at the hotel at about 11 pm following a football game, the hotel clerk informed me that the hotel had been overbooked and there were no non-smoking rooms available. My choices were to stay in a... more

We booked this hotel last minute for a weekend trip to Madison. Because there was a game, most hotels were booked and we ended up paying a fairly high price for the Sheraton. It was clean and the bed was decent, but the hotel really needs to be updated. The hallways were so drab and depressing. And the lighting in... more

Stayed one weekend night in mid-October 2007. Had a two-bed room on fifth floor. Room was in good shape, was satisfactorily clean, pool/spa/small workout area area were fine, and desk staff were friendly. Did not eat at the restaurant or use wireless. Complimentary Madison Sunday newspaper, which was an unexpected treat. No huge campus or arena events that weekend, so... more

I come to Madison a lot for work. Sometimes I'm not able to get a room downtown so I turned to the Sheraton to give it a try. My work pays for the room so I'm not sure about value but I will say this. In this day and age to charge for internet access in the room is just... more

Doing business at the Alliant Center, so booked here due to proximity. Front desk area is nice, service was good. Halls are terribly dingy, but the room was surprisingly nice - did have a slow running toilet and they came up and fixed it promptly. Room was very clean, bed very comfortable and hotel was quiet at night (weeknight stay).... more

Well, when I first checked in, I was greeted by 50 girls with pom poms. The Alliant Energy center is 1 block away so major groups book this hotel - (national cheerleading finals - glad it wasn't a rowdier group). The hotel check in was fine (not exceptional). The room was good (some dust in corners & normal hotel issues... more

The Sheraton seemed tired. The linens, bedding, and furniture had been updated but the carpeting was very old, dirty, and worn. It was a dirty brown color, while the room had a nautical theme. Also, the bathroom setup was strange. The sink was outside the bathroom. In the bathroom there was a long counter minus a sink, in addition to... more

This hotel turned out to be a Hotwire steal. The property isn't new, and it shows wear in some places (carpet, for instance), but overall it falls well within what one expects of a Sheraton. They appear to have done everything possible to make the hotel appealing, given the limitations of the building's architecture. Amenities included 3 newspapers at the... more

This property is located more than two miles from downtown but is listed as a downtown location. It is within walking distance to the Alliant Center. Room 502 located on the back of the hotel was much smaller in size than what I would expect from a 3.5 star hotel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.... more
