My husband and I stayed at the Garlands guest house for our first wedding anniversary. We had a marvellous stay. The people who run it are so helpful and nice. For example, we asked for restaurant recommendations for our anniversary and they immediately showed us the menus for several of the best restaurant in town. The Garlands Guest House was just lovely. The rooms were very nice, and the grounds were lush and beautiful. Breakfast both mornings was excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The couple of blocks walk to the the French Quarter was no problem for my boyfriend and I, but a little tough for my mom (esp. in the heat).... more

My family recently stayed at the Garlands over the Thanksgiving holiday. The guest cottages and grounds are lovely - tastefully decorated with antiques, have hardwood floors, high ceilings, are clean and just plain charming. The breakfast is also fresh and very tasty.
