broken glass, dirty toilets, scummy showers, cracked windows, broken headboard, stained sheets, soaked through rugs, leaking ceilings, roaches, broken locks, cinderblock walls, homeless people in and out of hotel, no towels...Enough said!!! Stayed 1 hour and ended up screwing out of there...stayed at a beautiful hampton inn...could have been the waldorf when compared to this hotel. NEVER EVER STAY HERE!!!! more

This is the dirtiest, smelliest, most roach infested shanty of an illusion of a hotel. Every time we flushed the toilet the carpet just became wetter. My Stay at the Canal Street Hotel was pretty good. The staff that I saw was very polite. Some of the rooms were a little dirty from what I saw, but overall the stay was a pleasant one. more
