I stayed here for a business covention. The property is unique, cute and trendy. The rooms are little dark, but other than that it was a nice stay. It was centrally located so we could walk to everywhere we needed to get to. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip. Try Le Phare bar down the street,... more

I called the hotel and got a rate of $119 (Plus $30 a night parking fee) for that price I would say the hotel was above average. I didn't have any problems checking in. The valet serviece was a little slow for the price, but its a busy street so you can't expect too much. The French Quarter is just... more

The room was not ready for check in when I arrived around 12:30pm--I had specifically requested for this several days in advance and the response was confirmatory. I was relegated to freshen up in the lobby restroom before heading out. While I appreciate the personal messages welcoming me later on, the first impression is important. They were prompt about unclogging... more

I had to stay in New Orleans for 3 nights during a conference, held at the Sheraton, which is just 50 yards away on Canal St. The Sheraton was almost twice as expensive, so I decided for the this one, and I am happy with my choice. The room was clean and perfectly adequate. I asked for a quiet room... more

This is an unremarkable hotel that didn't really make an impression on me. The location is great -- just five minutes from the French Quarter. The room was all right, although there was some noise from the air conditioning, the large fan above the bed and the toilets/showers/baths being used by other guests. The bathroom lights were on the lowest... more

My husband and I just took our first trip to New Orleans. Having read many of the reviews on this site, I decided to book the International House. It was the best decision I could have made. The hotel is located across the street from the French Quarter, and a short block to the St. Charles trolley. The hotel is... more

If you are familiar with hotels in europe, this one compares with more perks and better service. The hotel was MOST accomodating. We booked a four night weekend (Thursday thru Monday) through a third party website. After reading reviews here, I began to be concerned, because we were traveling as three...my daughter, my husband and I, in viewing her chosen... more

The good: Location was great. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. Bathroom was lovely - and huge. The bad: We waited an hour past check-in time (4 PM) for our room to be ready. The lobby was packed with other people waiting. No apology was offered. They vastly overestimate the luxury of the place. Lots of the amenities they advertised... more

Have stayed at The International House a couple of times. Great hotel, nice new orleans decor. I love that they swap out the sofa fabric depending on the season (white slip covers in the summer etc.). Our room had a moldy smell, so we asked for a different room and they were very accomodating. They have a nice little bar... more
