We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay at the Gaslight. Everything we could want was already provided (from wine opener to daily water bottles to small refrig). Very, very nice! We stayed four nights and explored Seattle. The Craftsman home was extremely well taken care of and everything was squeaky clean. All public areas were very comfortable. Walking distance to restaurants (Monsoon was great!), interesting neighborhoods, and Volunteer Park (do this!). We chose not to rent a car due to traffic/parking issues. I'm also confused by previous reviews that called the staff unfriendly. Maybe I lucked out. My host felt more like an old friend than a staff member. He was friendly, inviting, courteous, and was smooth with introductions between guests at breakfast. I've only stayed in 5 or 6 B&B's before but this to me was the most welcoming one yet.... more
