I stayed with my partner at the Gaslight Inn for three nights in August. The place is just lovely - a wonderful house, and very well appointed rooms. The owners are very friendly - but not at all intrusive. There are a few rules, because it's a private home (i.e. no guests unless they are met at the door etc.)... more

Gaslight Inn is a special fit and not for everyone. However, we would return. We saw many repeat guests ranging from individuals traveling on business to couples on vacation. The pool is beautiful but it was closed after Labor Day. The rooms are equistely furnished in Arts and Crafts/Misson style, but there is a feeling of being in a home... more

The Gaslight Inn is a beautiful B and B with nice rooms and a wonderful collection of art glass. Unfortunately the innkeepers have been in their jobs too long. They are unfriendly and unhelpful. In addition, don't plan on checking in around 6 PM and taking a swim. They will have already closed the pool for the day! The only... more

I have stayed at the Gas Light twice in the last 6 months while traveling to Seattle from NJ on business. What I love: -Location. Unless you want to stay down town the Capital Hill area is great. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, 2 Yoga studios, beautiful park, museum, shops, etc. You can catch the bus for a quick... more

I was so excited to stay at the Gas Light Inn as I had tried to do my research. Our room was very clean, large and a llittle spartan. The gentlemen who run it I found to be very unfriendly - they seemed real burned out. The breakfast area was not well kept. Just plain disappointing. Instead I would recommend... more

I have stayed at the Gaslight Inn twice now and enjoyed myself both times. I travel alone and I really like my privacy, but I also like the ambiance of staying in a B&B rather than a large hotel. So regarding this place, I actually like that the innkeeper and other guests leave me alone. Room 101 (reserved for solo... more

We had booked reservations with one of the innkeepers, to get a call back from the other partner who left us a voicemail, telling us that our reservations were null and void due to the first innkeeper, not knowing the rules of accommodations for a holiday weekend. There was a verbal agreement the night before, that we would arrive after... more

The Gaslight offers consistent service and a hunting cabin-turned-chic feel. I've stayed here on many occassions, sometimes for extended periods, and return more for the predictability and convenient location than anything. It is immaculately clean and has a nice collection of glass art. The main house has stained glass window detail and beautiful woodwork. Beds are average, bathrooms are small,... more
