This B & B has a lot going for it. First of all, there are two wonderful inn keepers - Michael and Kate - that make you feel comfortable right away. The inn is comfortable, super clean in an awesome neighborhood, near some great little restaurants and Volunteer Park. I've read the other reviews and I can see why some... more

I have stayed in this guest house in March, and as I mentioned before that this is a real nice and clean guest house, but we had had a bit trouble with the inn keeper for our pet, as he was making us to carry the pet and restrain the dog in the bedroom only. Ever since we came back... more

A good B&B (nice bed linens, cream deep pile carpets, bath robes, quiet, nice breakfast) in a great location. We dined at the Kingfish Cafe which was fantastic - great Southern food and only a 10 minute walk away. I would not recommend this if you like to be fussed over as the breakfast is help yourself etc but if... more

Stayed here last fall on a sightseeing trip for 2 nights. A wonderful, modern B and B. Very clean bathrooms, plush robes and towels, ultra soft linens. Wireless internet worked perfectly. Very quiet house. This is not your typical b and b with breakfast served in the morning; rather it is a do-it-yourself affair BUT the food is provided. Great... more

I love the Capitol Hill Guest House. Over the past couple of years, I have stayed there both as a short-term guest and a long-term guest. It has, in essence, become a "home away from home" for me. What I love about "the Guest House", as we regulars call it, is that it offers all the benefits of a communal... more

The guesthouse is in a great location with access to public transortation to all parts of Seattle yet in a friendly residential neighborhood. There is a mix of short and long term guests - interesting people from all over the world and from all walks of life. I have been here for several months while in a graduate program in... more

As a result of an unexpected health issue my husband and I needed a convenient and comfortable location to spend approximately a month in Seattle. We had heard about the Capitol Hill Guest House, and rather than stay in a hotel, we contacted the owner to check on availability. We decided that the guest house would be a perfect place... more

My experience at the bed and breakfast was not good. Starting with the breakfast: there were pre-packaged muffins, bread in case you want to toast it, orange juice made from concentrate, yogurt, sometimes a few pasteries, cereal in a cabinet, and "fresh fruit" which was a bowl of fruit on the table. There was no bed and breakfast staff around... more

I spent two weeks at the Capitol Hill Guest House. I was visiting my girlfriend who was temporarilly working in the Seattle area. The way I was treated at the B&B was not as a paying guest, but as a nuisance. In the mornings the guess house manager never said hello, but instead ignored me while taking up the whole... more

I spent a weekend at the Capitol Hill Guest House and I've lived to tell about it. This guest house is a handsome three-story building on Denny Way and it has a large parking lot in the back accessed by an alley. On the inside, it looks as if the inspiration for its décor came from Home Depot brochures. Everything... more

Management response from

We appreciate all reviews positive or negative as they help us stay informed on what we can do to improve our service or if we should continue doing something our guests think is great. We do mind if information is posted about our establishment that is inaccurate and therefore gives prospective guests information that would steer them elsewhere. I'd like...
